The hose is a 180deg silicon hose from the UK, 60mm ID 5 ply. Same stuff they use on engine intercoolers etc. I got the 180deg hose instead of the 135 deg as i wasn't sure of the angle it was going to be at untill i fitted it. As it is i have cut a fair amount of the angle to get it where i want it, so a 135 deg might work. The pipe/bracket are SS, less chance of cracking through vibration than alloy. Pipe is about 63mm dia that i have machined down to 61mm with a lip on the end to help stop the filter from wanting to come off. Filter is a UNI Filter, 60mm ID & about 180mm long. All up it feels the same weight as the airbox & std filter. :D
Tank is not painted, it was moulded that colour for me.

How are you mounting them? Rally Raid tower or other set-up? Pics?

+1 for HDB rally lite setup. Its such a nice clean piece of kit that is well thought out and takes up minimal space for all it houses. Plus it keeps the mounting simple and there are lots of options for mounting displays etc...the fairing offers some wind protection as well.

I'm interested in the Rallye Lite setup for the mounting of the speedo and gps as well as the fairing.

I don't need LED lighting -- would two Hella 60mm projectors (low beam/high beam) be a decent lower cost alternative?

I'm definitely inexperienced when it comes to electrical and lighting. What is required to wire this up? I've read that people that installed the Squadrons were more or less plug and play into the stock harness.

I have the Hella set up with a cheap Chinese hid kit and it is pretty kick ass

I wear my old enduro helmet to work & it is quite noticeable, but with my adv lid with the visor down without ear plugs it is barely noticeable. With ear plugs on a long ride i'm sure i wont hear any at all.

I have the screen on all the time and crash often. [emoji33] the screen isnt an issue and makes a huge difference.

DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED TEMPLATE.

There have been reports the holes dont line up with the screen. Position and tape the screen in place then drill.

I like pretty kick ass. Are they plug and play with the stock headlight wiring?

No had to use relay and a switch so I can turn them off as I was using lithium battery and did not want to put extra drain the battery when I leave the ignition on while chatting at stops etc etc

If you didn't need to be able to turn them off could they be plugged in to the stock harness?

A 16 fits with the sigtech and RR sprocket guard but I cannot comment on a 17.
