If they ever bring that to market, I will have to buy one.

    Nice fork gaiters. :rofl

Another overweight styling exercise. Probably with a plastic tank that will explode like the sportclassics did.

    Pass, with great enthusiasm.

I guess you missed Nicky and Dovi testing the proto-types at Indy.

I love how it looks, but a scrambler has to be cheap and rugged. Who's really going to take a fancy Ducati offroad?

It's going to be like the soccer mom with a huge SUV.

Looking at the tyres, I can't imagine that this thing is designed for any off road use. Probably more of a styling excercise.

Luckily not everyone is locked into the "Garage Queen" mindset.

All the guys who fondly remember what a Scrambler is because they were riding back then don't want a functional Scrambler. They're now to the age where they're afraid of breaking a hip. They want a bike that looks neato and doesn't take their weekend with leaky carbs and finicky valves.

The rest of the riding world is like "eh, that's neato retro. Whatever."

Except the hipsters. They'll eat that up in all their postmodern angst. Looks like you could bungee an old Olympia typewriter to it.

Is this a real picture or a photoshop? Yes - I just want a neato retro-styled bike, I'd have no intention of actually taking it off-road. So I'm the target market, and I approve. I can hardly wait for the proper reveal in my post-modern angst! :)

Lets not forget what street scramblers were in the 60's - overweight styling exercises that looked terrific and were a blast to ride. I really wish, however, that Ducati would use some of those airport/mall store profits and invest in tooling for something approximating a narrowcase 250 - best scrambler ever!

I'm in if it doesn't have a damn nylon tank, if it does it better have screw-on covers or something.

I'd wear an ironic scarf and ride that thing. PS, love the JerryH quote!
