Last night, I installed the Kouba lowering links on my 2004 KTM 625 SXC. It was pretty straightforward. I'm now at the point where I need to either file down the rear spring or file down (about .040") the swing arm to gain clearance between the swingarm and spring. I have a few questions:

    1. Should I file down the spring or the swing arm?

    2. How do you guys get in there with everything assembled? Or does this require disassembling a portion of the rear suspension?

    3. What's the preferred tool for the job? Is a metal file sufficient?

    Thanks for any help. I'm such a n00b. :(

Hi, been there, done that. Take it off the swing arm - it's soft aluminium. Use a file. Doesn't need much. Chalk the area and file until the chalk doesn't get worn of. Cheers
