Who are the inmates in and around Front Royal VA? I use to know a lot of folks in the area but moved to NC and started the WARDS thread.

I'm back in the saddle and ready to ride...Changed my user name back to SkylineKeith and would like to get together with like minded delinquents :deal

    You know who you are.

Hell Town? Never heard of it. :augie

    Welcome back!

There are numerous inmates around the Front Royal Area but only a few who post regularly. I may have some free time coming up in the next few weeks as long as I can get my bike(s) in order. :D

I'm just past Skyline on Rivermont. Rt 619...which leads to rt678 and to rt675 :evil :deal

Sundays are usually good for me for a ride. I tend to work a lot. Sometimes I take Thursdays off. :freaky

The town was originally called "Hell Town" The name changed during the Civil War when the soldiers did not know their left from their right so was told to "Front the Royal oak". The large oak tree was downtown where the gazebo stands today...or so I'm told.

I'm due west of you, near Wardensville (although I'm 'medically" unhorsed for a while).

Any recommended routes other than the obvious 33 211. A friend of mine rides a Kaw 600 super sport something or other and we have been sticking to blacktop.

I have a new tomtom rider gps and could download routes. I have retired my garmin 2610 and 26something else. Retiring the garmins may have been a mistake. We will see. The new tomtom desplays the speed limit sign on gps along with actual speed. When your speed exceeds the limit by 4 or 5 mph the indicated speed shows up in a red bar. Within a couple of mph and the speed is shown in a green bar. Pretty annoying.

Man you know it! I just sold a Wee and like a dumb ass I decided to let my Garmin ZUMO go with it! :baldy:baldy:baldy

I was going to "upgrade" but hadn't done my homework until after the sale. The unit I was interested in(Montana) doesn't have near the features the ZUMO has. To add insult to injury I missed a good deal on a ZUMO in the flea market by a couple hours today! :cry

    Routes. Here's a nice one...

Head down thru Fort Valley, over to Edinburg, Columbia Furnace, Wardensville WV, Star Tannery, Zepp to Back Rd. Enjoy. :D
