Nice piccies, what tyres are you running?

I have a Cagiva Navigator but it has a 18" front, and have not found any suitable D/S tyres.

Would not even attempt mild off road with Bridgestone 020's!!!

Joking aside, that Italian flag colored GC is a bike worthy of someone who's handle is ImaPoser. Beautiful bike.

Glad to see there is another NAVIGATOR owner on board, here in Mexico the Cagiva dealer has a front wheel kit with a 21 " rim, so you can use any off road tyre you want, and it also increases your ground clearence. Some lads that made the swap say, that for serious off road work it is a must, but you´ll be surprised where the NAVIGATOR can wander off road even with standard tyres (just add a good bash plate)

my riding buddy has a navigator , he put the gran canyon front wheel in, easy fit, now runs tkc 80 front tyre.

I am looking for a gran canyon to buy for a few special projects, so if any one knows of one for sale please advise, cheers, vege

Navigator and Vege

Thanks for the response, you have given me hope!!!

I do not intend to go for a 21" front wheel as it is too radical for what I want.

I jusy want to go a bit further off road than I can at the moment

I was already thinking of the Gran Canyon front as there is a decent selection of tyres for the 19" rim

Am I right in thinking the Navigator was never sold in the USA?

I managed to purchase a brand new Power Commander 2 from a guy in the USA for $100.00, was very pleased!!!!

Do the current models have wire wheels with tubes also? What tires are available for this size?

The Navitgator has the Zuk TL 1000 twin. So does the DL 1000 have the TL 1000 twin? Funny, because I describe my GC as a Ducati V-Strom.

With all of the Elefant talk lately, I had to revive the GC thread.

Oh and if anybody has gone the metalwork that supports the genuine panniers as shown on the red one above, I am in need of a set

Have got genuine Cagiva panniers, the horseshoe shaped bits, but nothing else!!

Its a great shame the USA never got the Navigator, it is a seriously good back roads blaster
