    Hi guys,

not sure if this is the right place but I know us motorcycle heads are always looking through craigslist and what not....

My friend's 2010 MV Agusta F4 got stolen this past Wednesday. He had it for sale and one dude showed up, hoped on the bike, and disappeared.

Here is a picture. If you happen to see anything similar for sale please PM me. Bike does not come with red frame from factory. ALSO you will find an Ad for this bike in craigslist under the city of Doral. That was his posting. He just has not taken it down.

Dam. I guess that's why some guys want cash in hand for rides on bikes.
    You just never know.

Damn, that sucks. In Ocala, he would have been shot in the back 9 times as he tried to ride away. They don't even prosecute for it. :deal

Don't feel too bad. I did the same thing many years back. Kid walked up to my house, which was on some property, wanted to test ride my cz. I said this ain't a bike for a kid. He pleaded with me and I cranked it for him and heard him disappear as he went through the gears. Gone baby.

Several weeks later I got a visit from dad with bike in toe and hat in hand. I was so glad to see that cz I almost kissed him. No charges in lieu of free grass cutting. For the summer. Hope kid turned out ok.

Then in2006 I had two YZs stolen out of truck. Gone and stayed gone. Shit.

    I wish you luck.

Yeah it sucks for my buddy.

Last time I sold a bike, I put a lock on the front wheel for the buyer to hear the bike run and rev it. Once he heard the engine and saw that everything was fine, he agreed to give me the money before the test ride.

took the lock off, he rode it around the block, came back, closed the deal and everyone was happy.

Very expensive mistake for my friend.

That really sucks, there was a gang in the Atlanta area that were hitting every single Craigslist add and taking the bikes the same way as described! Fucking turdbags!!!

Damn! I would have never thought of that because I can't dream up that shit. I would definitely get cash in hand before the "test" ride but damn!!

Check the interstate... those chicken strips indicate that the guy must still be in Florida....

Seriously though I know full well what it's like to have a bike gone... May the bastard and all those like him die in a fire

I'm sorry for hear that. But, it would be extremely helpful to have some more information on what went down because there are a lot of inmates who sell bikes.

Did the guy come up on foot, or was he dropped off? Did he have a friend in tow? Did your friend ask for a license to verify motorcycle endorsement?

It's good for us to know how the scams are working now so we can be prepared for these bad people.

Here's some helpful info for those who are going to sell: Take a picture of the vehicle the person pulls up in, especially the license plate. If the person walks up without a vehicle I'd be highly suspicious. Ask to see the drivers license to verify a Motorcycle Endorsement and take a picture of the ID. And if you're really paranoid make sure you have a buddy waiting in a vehicle that is watching everything unfold.

I have not had a chance to talk to my friend but once I do, I will share what and how it went down.
