That motor looks Japanese. Virago? Looks really nice, but most of those japanese v-twin harley wannabes sound awful. My neighbor used to have a Honda something or other v-twin with open pipes, and it was just awful to listen to. He thought it sounded just like a harley, but was very wrong.

Seems a bit daft to want a bike that sounds like another one. For my money most HD's sound bloody awful (a cross between a briggs and stratton and an old builders dump truck) .. but that's just me :D

On of my mates has some sort of suzuki cruiser with open pipes ... doesn't sound too bad.

Looks a little bit like some of those V-twin air cooled pumps,
Some of them are even diesels.

But normally they have a bunch of shrouding and cooling bodywork.
Also the stock finish on the fins and cylinders are very nice stock since they hid behind the shrouds.

I spotted this in the Barber workshop when I visited in 2009. It looked nearly finished and ready to display. I can't get past the Metisse' style. Timeless.
