Love to man, but I won't be able to make it until Friday (work blows!) if I make the list.

He's developed a trick sub frame extension & braced rear fender rack for the XR650R that can be custom fitted to many different Dual Sport bikes including KTM and Huskey. If you need work done on a big bore single, Jerry's the guy to see!

Given it takes a whole day for us here in the soggy, cold north to travel to DV, I asked Jimmy Lewis if he would do a one day riding class on Wednesday, March 27 - just before the DV Noobs event. He said yes, but with a few minor changes. Here is the scoop:

Since this is a private class and the number of participants will be limited, the cost is $300.00 for the day.
The class fee will not be refundable, and must be paid in full in advance (when signing up).
The class will be in Pahrump.
The class will focus on skills for riders with Beginner to Intermediate skills as they are defined on his web site. Actual instruction will depend on participants' skills.
The class will be limited to 12 riders (two places already are taken).

To sign up, go to the link below, fill out the form, and pay for the class ($300.00) in full. Jimmy will confirm your place in the class after payment has been received.

    https://docs.google.com/a/jimmylewi...mkey=dFpOVE5mXzlUV0YySjMyY3lKTThUckE6MQ#gid=0

We know stuff happens at the last minute. If an emergency comes up and you cannot go (broken bone, etc.), Jimmy is willing to consider a replacement, but you must get your money from a replacement AND the proposed replacement must fill out the class forms. Jimmy will confirm if the replacement is OK after getting completed forms.

I probably have not addressed all possible questions so feel free to send me a PM or e-mail. I am thrilled to take Jimmy's class, and will practice what I learn during the Noobs Rally.

    Cheers,

Wow, Jack, this is great! Thank you for organizing this and thank you to Jimmy for putting it on.
I'll definitely be taking advantage of this!

Signed up. I've done classes (Rawhyde's intro & next-step) plus many off-road trips but nothing like a one-day class to knock the winter dust off plus Jimmy was at last year's Rally and showed some neat tricks.

161 Brenda - out. Looks like I'm going to be in Mexico too close to the DV dates to make it work. :cry But I'll be in Mexico! :clap Will definitely keep my eyes peeled for DV 2014 though!!

@ Little Bike - if you can't find someone to take my place in the cabin share, send me a PM with address or PayPal email details and I'll send you $ to cover what was supposed to be my part of the cabin fee. Unless FYYFF or Joel recommend some other alternative re: cabin fees...?

Im fresh out of his school from early December. What a great way to spend a couple of days, he and Heather are a great bunch of people. I forgot more than I learned already.

For anyone going at anytime, do yourself a favor and stay at Stay at Dars B&B. She will cater to your needs and she is an awesome lady, her friend Bob is a great guy as well. It costs more than the casino or horror house but its worth every penny.

Sign up and there will be one more. Jimmy promised to provide some info on great routes to DV. Maybe we can get him to let us in on some secret DV routes too :thumb

Wish I had another 300, I would go again!

I can tell you that smaller bikes will provide much more opportunity to learn in Jimmy's class, so glad he told me to leave my Tiger at home. Big bikes will learn as well, just expect to be worn the 'F out at the end of the day! :evil
