    Cardo Scala vs Sena which one and what made you decide other than thats what your riding buddies are using. also is there one that will talk to each other regardless of brand or do you have to stay brand specific.

    I went with the Cardo Scala Rider Q3 Multi-set. I especially like the ability to pluf in my own custom earbuds.

    Sena is no longer brand specific. Great software upgrades and multiple different mounts available depending on what you want.

    My brother and I have been thinking of G9X powerset. It's cheaper if we do the powerset and split the cost rather than buying an individual set.

    Interphone F-series comms seem to get good reviews. Not sure on interoperability, but it's likely that the latest model has it. WebBikeWorld has reviews.

    Yes, at least with Scala headsets. I have no experience with pairing with other brands or ever looked into it. Scala and Sena seem to be the two most popular brands.
