I am trying to find an alternative for the expensive Touratech pannier top/lid bags, any idea`s? Pics are welcome.. Thanks, Karel
I have been using a pair of Watershed Ocoee bags for a few years and they have worked well. You can use any number of small dry bags, the small Ortlieb Rack-Pack is a perfect fit also as is the Wolfman small Rollie bag. Ortlieb Wolfman Rollie I prefer the closure mechanism on the Watershed (like a giant zip lock bag) but all three are 100% waterproof.
I bought a couple of these at REI. Mine were Medium and fit the outside lids perfect. http://www.leisurepro.com/prod/SETAP.html?ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=SETAPMD
Ya I like the wolfman Rolies too. those typically mount on the side of the bike through ($144): so if you are looking for a 'top case' and you like the dry bags they also make the Wolfman Expedition Duffles ($112): Givi TW01 luggage bag might work too ($89): Are you looking for a Dry bag or just any alternative to the touratech panniers? http://www.detourjournal.com/adventure-motorcycle-store/parts-accessories/body/luggage
I love my Wunderliech (sp?) I don't have any pictures of them on the cans themselves, but I mount them there when I am taking longer rides with camping gear, they are designed for Vario cases but work equally well on the adventure cases or TT's. I have had them for about four years, other than a little fading they have held up very well, fairly waterproof but I put important stuff in ziplocks if I am going to be in rain for any amount of time.
I found a pic of someone who has Wolfman Rolie`s on his cases, this is the idea that i am looking for..
I just but some dry bags and strap them to my lids. They work well for me, as its all my camping gear, so no need to be able to get in and out with ease. Pretty cheap, and strapped down with some ROK straps I do have a wunderlich bag like Iron Ray, but find when I am using the dry bags for the side cases, I have more then enough room inside the rest of the cases.
I've seen some kayak bags that looked they might work. thread... http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=587024
