Jeffy to the multicam courtesy phone Good eye sir. I got a little quick on the trigger I suppose. They just look damn cool according to this page of the MK12 thread a few guys wanted a more RECCE version of the MK12 They should however still be 16" with the OPS inc 12th suppressor covering a few inches of barrel. Craig "Sawman" Sawyer with a similar setup. I would have to assume those are training photos since they are out on the net and such.
Ah, that's right the OPS Inc. does have a sleeve. They look interesting as long as you have a supressor for it.
Another CA build. I thought it wasn't recommended to mount the MBUS on a gas block? I'm guess it's a temp solution since you can't fold down the front anyway.
yeah, eats up about 3" of barrel. Can you imagine taking a $4000 rifle and pulling out the Krylon rattle can? Looks badass, and effective, but damn man
I've thought about doing it. I had a little over $3000 in mine. (some of those SPR parts are $$$.) Krylon comes off a lot easier then Duracoat or other coating. I think the reason they use it is because it's cheap and it doesn't have to be even. It wears off and adds to the camo.
I know. Seeing all the Krylon camo jobs has me kinda wanting to do it to my carbine. It's all tacticool'd out and shit. Might as well. Oh, and Fuck Stickman I've really gotta finish this thread. Been chipping away at it for over a week. Page 155/156.
Yeah, his pics are cool. They got me to buy the DD Omega 7.0 when it first came out. Also the XTM's when they first came out as well. I did the "mix-n'- match" right after I saw Stickman's review of them. Then everyone wanted to do it. Problem was no one could get them panels. Magpul was backordered for a long time on Forest and OD. I finished my build back in 2008. Been thinking about changing my upper. I'd like to have a 300BK and maybe a dedicated precision 22LR. I wish Nightforce still sold those scopes. That's the 2.5x-10x in the 1x-4x body which was a special order for the SEALs.
Nice Saw this crazy thing at the Gun Show this weekend "Mossberg Goes Full Wild West Tactical Retard"
absolutely. Guns are tools. I understand that some people collect tools and like to keep them pretty and all - I'd love to be able to afford it myself. While I wouldn't modify or paint up something really old, unique, and valuable, plenty of people did which is why they are so unique and valuable today. Interestingly enough, some painted up guns and magazines, like Rhodesian FALs, are highly desirable because of the paint and provenance.
Must put in a vote for JP Enterprise rifles (very well known in competition circles) and they make an incredible product. I recently purchased one of their "SCR-11" models, with CNC'd upper and lower, heat sink, and side charge handle... Here is a picture at the range, showing 25 yard, 100 yard and 200 yard targets. ...and here is what the gun is capable of (shot this 10 shot group at 100 yards). Rifle is unbelieveably accurate, will probably do even better than this with a higher magnification scope (I only have a 1-4x) and hand loaded ammo. I estimade the group to be under 0.6 inches centre to centre...
Not up on black guns but got to blast a couple this week. The above mentioned was very cool. Also shot a Sig 7.62 AR type and another in .223 . May have to get one of those 450s.
I actually bought it back in '98. It's good to go. I put monsterman grip on it, which I believe allows me to use high caps. Magazine without a bullet . And NOW I know the mbus doesn't work up front! D'oh!
Is that a RAW then? If so you don't need the grip or BB. I have a BB on mine but I've thought about going featureless so I can use my 20 and 30 rnd mags. Mine's a 14.5 so I'd have to drill out the pin, swap it to a brake and pin it. Kinda of a PITA and low on my list. I'm wanting to maybe do a dedicated 22LR upper (I have the Spikes drop-in as well) but I want a precision upper.
