I rolled out of bed at 10 this morning to find 23 motorcycles parked all over my lawn.

I've just got a few pics here, but Dukegirl and I wanted to thank these crazy bastards for coming all the way out here on a beautiful Sunday morning:

    Rabia
    Dizave
    Flug
    JeffAugie
    Cromag
    GSGirl
    Gilmartin
    Bighorn and lilhorn
    ZorBMW
    Tim_in_NH
    Pilsner Urquell
    Sacndogy & Mrs. Sacndogy
    Kdog
    Iillyyaa
    Big Bird
    Different Drummer
    Tribeless
    Flying Monkey

Special Guest Star: Max of Max BMW, who has arranged a lucrative sponsorship deal for the next breakfast.

    You guys are the BEST!!

This whole monthly NE Chapter Breffix ride was Rabia's idea.

Rabia should be president for two reasons:

#1: All Flug's monthly meeting ideas were like "I have an idea for a meeting: Come paint my house. Come siphon my septic tank. Come clean my gutters."

#2: Because she hauled a big bag of lump charcoal all the way from Rhode Island for me! :rabia

Here's VespaDizave astride my unruly steed:

Tribeless and GS Girl sharing a laugh at Cromag's expense:

What a character that Tribeless is. He rides with a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket under a suede sportcoat, like some kind of wacky-ass English professor from hell. Glad to meet you, Ed!!

    Rabia meets the locals.

Rabia: Yes, sir, it's a BMW Rockster. I traded anpther BMW, an R1200C, for this bike just a few months ago.

Old Yankee: Ayuh. I dropped a bomb on that factory fifty years ago. Goddamned Krauts.

After breakfast, some of us went on a quick ride. Cromag downs a fifth of gin before mounting.

ZorBMW gives a hearty AdvRider salute, while Augie reconsiders whether a seventh piece of pie was such a good idea.

A bunch of us set out on what some of these guys call a "GS Ride". I'm going to start calling it a "950 Adventure S" ride, dammit.

Well, that's all I've got for pics. You'll see more later, I'm sure. Thanks again to all you guys for making this a really special inaugural breakfast ride!!

Many thanks to our gracious hosts VespaFitz and DukeGirl. You guys rock. :drums What a fabulous food spread. Raised the bar pretty high for the NE contingent, you did.

Great meeting all the other loonies too. Who's gonna post the pictures of Illya doing the wheelies and stoppies up and down Fitz's street? Made a real impression with the neighbors, especially whatwith Fitz doing burnouts on that Vespa of his. :evil Impressive riding, Illya. :thumb

as president of the new england chapter, blah blah blah, aw shut up nachtflug you boring bastard.

    Hey yo,

Dukegirl rocks. Dukegirl and Vespa are pretty hard to describe. What a great team. What another great day I had in New England with the gang. Once again Baldys Advrider can take a bow for playing a part in getting great people together, but the standing ovation today goes to Dukegirl. What a spread of food she put out for us, and made it look easy somehow.

I've got some pics from Army football yesterday and todays fun, so I think I can conjure up a ride report in the next few days, but can't resist posting the best pic I came up with today.

This should answer GSGirls question when we returned from the "950 Adventure" ride.

"why is CroMags bike so dirty and yours are all clean"

Why doesn't BMW or Aerostich carry something cool like that?

Saw an exhibit in Chicago about the first Mt Everest expedition and the guys that made it to the summit actually wore jackets like that. The Original Adventure Jacket, I believe.

Tribeless, you gotta wear that to CroMag CampOut 2004.

It was great to meet some of you ff's that I haven't run into yet. Beyond fashion critiques I thought Augie was pretty darn generous with cigars. But the advbabes first:
It was easy to see why Vespa made an honest woman out of Duke Girl; incredibly smart, incredibly pretty and an incredible cook to boot! Throw in that she rides and you can see why Vespa is one lucky one dood.
It was also easy to see why folks would go out of there way to buy a bike from GS Girl, see above. (Although I didn't have a chance to chat with Cro Mag and get the scoop on the cooking abilities though...)
Rabia, also see above. If flug were to happen to make an untimely exit its easy to see why she would assume control of the chapter; friend to any advriders.
Flug and Kdog thanks for the company on the way up, Pilsner Big/Little Horn and FM on the way back. (Pilsner is now as fast as if not faster than Ari on his new RT and as hard to keep up with.)
Illya is even more knowledgeable and talented than he appears on advrider.
Congrats to Max on your business success; good luck with your new venture.
ZorBMW Good to meet you man; Sorry the exhaust transaction didn't worked out.
Tim in NH has a classic story about how he found advrider and was good enough to share it.
The rest of you ff's that I didn't have a chance to spend more time with is precisely why Im looking forward to the next opportunity.
Dizave is still Dizave and el presidente' is, well, el presidente'
