To whom it may concern

I will be no longer buying any of your dairy products. I would prefer to show my support to the local dairies such as Maleny and Cooloola.
The PR you are getting due to your treatment of Mr Hodgens cant be good for business.
For myself I run a cooking website and Facebook page on which I have posted messages of support for the small dairies encouraging people to stop buying Pauls, Coles and Woolworths milks. The cooking site averages 120000 visitors per month.
The forum on which I first read about your dealings with Mr Hodgens has 160000 members.
Add to this the numerous National news spots and radio that have featured the story and you start to wonder how many people must be reconsidering their milk purchases.
I sincerely hope that you are going to end this peacefully. I fail to see how letting Mr Hodgens out of his contract could affect your company in anywhere near the degree that the negative publicity will.

Close Leith,Dirt farmers with beef cattle as well.I would prefer to muster dairy cattle though .The rest of the family were orchardists ,killed off by imports.

I just googled Parmalat Australia - from memory, it takes you to the pauls website. I used the "Contact Us" bit. I received a prepared statement back and a for further info contact.... (their PR firm).

If they crank it up any more, I'll work out their CEO's email address (its never hard to do) and start filling up his inbox.

I just sent an email from my work address.I didn't realise that I have used them before indirectly,so let them know,I won't have anything to do with the company again.
It will be interesting to see if I get a reply.

Not at all.. thats why I posted it. Hehe in case it hasn't become apparent I am a bit of a web whore lol. Seo, web marketing and social media are the main part of my work. I enjoy being able to use it for good instead of only money grubbing evil

As protests like this have happened in the past with little change, I would expect it to be a little different this time. One of the main reasons for this is social media. If you can get enough of your friends/colleagues talking about it on the social media websites etc, it will raise more awareness of the plight of primary producers not just the dairy industry and how big companies treat them. It really needs to go viral for it to have an impact though, and explain why it is not in consumers interest in the long term. In the near future, Australia is expected to be a nett importer of food (if we aren't already). See where that will take us regarding prices! And lets not forget that miners have rights to enter farms and setup operations.

Hey Nazza, how bout a "Why Parmalat Sucks" facebook page or similiar.

As an aside, based on previous posts. As a reasonable person, I would find it hard to believe there is a contract in place if it was not confirmed as accepted before the offer was cancelled.

Well I sent my letter off to Craig. Interesting to see what response I get.

Don't pick on the small man, small farmer, small business. Its un Australian.

I'm pushing for others to write in as well. The more letters of complaint they get the more consideration will be given to "letting the man off"

Come on people take a few mins to email off your thoughts. The small farmer has it tough enough.
