    Sweet.

I have a soft spot for the old Falcons due to a good High School friend's.

One of the "classics" that I could see getting.

If you really want a practical daily driver, you are going to have to cut the rails out and set it on a ranger frame with suspension, power steering, and driveline. I'm all for impractical projects, but that might take the cake. Good luck, at least you have a cool wife ;)

My guess is that you've got a roller cam 5.0 engine in there. Steel cam gear against iron distributor gear no worky!

Have a new steel distributor gear pressed on there and you'll be good. Don't get a bronze gear if you're going to drive it on the street for long. I think the cam is still OK, though you've put a lot of iron wear particles through the engine. There will probably be some score marks on the cylinder walls.

I've got a 64 ranchero in my garage I started working on about ten years ago. If I stop messing around with bikes I might back on it.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Falcon, always wanted to do a 2 door with a v-6

a friend of mine built this Ranchero. He runs it in Super Production, it's kinda fun to see him pass a Ferrari on the outside on back straight @ Willow Springs
