After yesterday's toad strangler I needed to get outside for lunch. I saw that it was sunny so I went out to grab a bite. I went to the food carts at PSU and enjoyed the sun on my face. But the black cloud was looming. Right as I got my food it started sprinkling so I made it to the common area where the streetcar goes thru campus to stand under the shelter next to Pita Pit. Then, BAM! The sky opened up and it dumped sheeting buckets of rain for 2 minutes.

I stood there actually enjoying and marveling at the randomness of nature as a few drenched people ran toward me from all directions.

I kept hearing distant thunder, kind of unusual. But it kept going, kept getting louder. Simultaneously 2 people yelled "what's that?!" and "look out!!" I was standing at the outlet to the building's roof drainage. It shot out with all the power of a fire hydrant but is twice the diameter. If not for the two observant people it would have been like I waded in the river up to my thighs. :lol3

Then it stopped and I walked back to work. Got a couple of crappy pics of the flash flood in the streets. I've never seen something like that around here before.

I thought about throwing some Jimmy Thackary and Tab Benoit attcha,, but I gave up searching and got lost in the music,,but really, settle in with some Bebe, and let her have her way with you. Even at your advanced age,,she'll tickle something you'll like among her songs.
PM me a mailing addy, I'll send you CD's of all her stuff I have.
God bless my brother Tommy R. for the introduction.
    just ask Mr.FisherMAN.
    He knows Bebe!
Happy Happiness All,, Love you folks!

Yessir, that's her,,not my favorite of her songs, but reflective of her new updated direction,,keeping with the times,,blah blah.
I can't understand a word either (well, a few i know) but that is what makes it so enjoyable, it just comes across as part of the music, her voice another instrument.
Here is one that got her one of her 5 musical awards, Malo.
it is followed by another more to my liking,,mellow and acoustic.

it's nice to not have to listen to the lyrics,,frees up the ears to hear the musicians.:1drink

Oh, and if I have not mentioned it lately,,I love you Mort. Yer a keeper!

We are good...just ate too much on Thanksgiving day. Hope you are healling up well! I made my first apple jam this year...it didn't turn out as jam but works great as syrup on waffles, LOL! Guess I'll have to try again. Think maybe because I used powdered pectin instead of liquid--I'll have to do some research.

:tb.....I just got done with waffles, with boring old raspberry jam,...and peanut butter :tb

I've been told by several folks that apple jam does not work.
Apple jelly & apple butter work good, but "apples won't make jam", due to their consistency.
    WhadoIno?
Still sounds like it would be good on waffles, regardless......
Good Luck. Lemme know if you acheive success :ear

    Healing quite well, thanks!!
