The Indian dealer in Phoenix, AZ just got their first bike in on Thursday so I had to go check it out.

And if you REALLY need to be that guy, you can add a foot clutch/hand shift to the bike. It takes about equal level of skill as fitting hard bags to a bike.

I can understand nostalgia up to a point, but wishing for foot clutch/hand shift makes about as much sense to me as wishing for polio to come back...

Shifter, clutch and brake locations have been federally mandated since 1975. They can't sell it any other way. Purist or not, joking or not.

Yes you are right but at least in my country the tech inspection can't prevent a private owner to convert it to foot clutch and handshift. I don't know if it is legal in you country.

Oh, and pull the balance shafts, rear shock, remove the recirculating oil system, shall I continue?

If you want a 'traditional' Indian Chief, go buy one from Kiwi. If you want what is very likely what Indian would have evolved into through continuous production, buy the Polaris version!!!
