Butler takes Gonzaga on the last shot... Louisville upset by Syracuse... After last weekend's upsets, things off to an early start... NFE
How in the world is Norm Stewart suddenly one of the SEC coaching greats? He retired like, 1000 years ago.:huh Edit: Here's the story
Holy shit that was great to watch! 39 minutes of "meh", followed by a hell of a finish! And the ref that did 2 1/2 games plus had to have been hurting!
It was fun listening to all the ISU fans at work today complaining how they lost the game to KU last night because they got jobbed by the refs. The Indiana/Minnesota game was good, as was the Tenn/Fla game that followed. Going to be a heck of a March!
Well, the Big 12 did issue an apology... "dear Iowa State University. We are going to make sure KU wins, but we don't want you to get pissed off and jump ship like the other schools with any sense."
Yes, there should have been a whistle. And blocking was the foul. Also, a 'T' for the (most recent) flop by Niang. The apology should be to KU for even APPEARING to entertain the idea that ISU lost because of poor officiating. If anything, poor officiating put Withey on the bench for 6 minutes, saved Niang a foul, and ultimately put ISU in a position to have a chance to win.
you've lost your mind, or you're trolling. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PkH8k9h2C1g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> in position, hands up, feet set.
Feet NOT set. Moved his right foot to the right, after EJ went up. He's also standing on the restricted arc. Blocking foul. Them's the rules. ISU lucky not to get the foul AND the T called, but they never T the flop.
Wow! Zags now? Alrighty, then. Love em, but I'll root for the upset. Big game in the Big 12 this weekend, as Kansas State goes to Oklahoma State. Be nice if the Cowboys could win it, clear up this whole conference championship, obviate the need for any *ptoo!* co-championship, and thus restore the natural order of the hoops universe.
How was Puke ranked number three with three losses in their own conference? Coach K's reality distortion field? Now it's four ACC upsets and they play Miami again Saturday night. The team is a mess. Never had a lead tonight against the mediocre Cavaliers who completely outplayed them. 19 top 5 teams have been upset by unranked teams this year.
