Brendan reckon a grease nipple somewhere there would be good for the plain steel bush as well. Check the difference in alignment between the swingarm bush and the axle. Seems to be a few degrees diference. Makes the chair wheel lean towards the bike. Not sure how normal that is or the reason as such though I have a theory. I may straighten mine a bit as it looks daggy. Also if we put real suspension on the axle would we need the leaf springs on the body? I think maybe not and go down to just a rubber bush arraingment? For a wheel on mine I have a matching Wee front. But if you could match your rear it may help increase range with your greater HP. I:E swap part way through a trip. I hope to go with a car tyre as there are some narrower 17" ones at the vintage place. Cheers Bruce
I will have a look at that as well as there is a bit of movement with the arm when its bolted in. I just pulled apart all the axle/swingarm arrangement cleaned it out and regreased it and it has taken some of the slop out of it. In regards to grease nipples , they could be fitted bare in mind that it is not the outer steel sleave that moves but the inner. You would need 2 holes about 5/16 in diameter would need to be drilled in the outer sleeve and in alignment with the grease nipples. I was suprised as to how easy it all came apart I was worried that inner sleeve was gunna be a PITA to get out, but it gave little resistance. In regard to removing the leaf springs, I was looking at the idea of using the Ural rubber cones underneath it to do away the the leaf springs how much of a viable idea this is I don't know haven't priced them up yet of the other parts required to fit them. I was looking at fitting another Tenere rear wheel but this is a very expensive idea as a hub alone is excess of $500 retail and the rim is about $700 retail. I was toying with also using another front wheel but either way its going to be expensive. I have also being thinking of fitting a disc brake on the chair as well. How I'm going to do this is somewhat of a mystery just yet as I have to work out how to intergrate it with the bikes combined braking and ABS systems.

I came up with about 320-380lb/ft with my measurements ? Length makes a big difference even 100mm really makes a big jump. Rotation is still a mystery ? Maybe some one on here can tell us !!! ???
Yes thats right or there abouts. It was a bit late for me here I think. Increase the length on the calculator as you say and it gets a lot softer. I don't get that. Perhaps once it is preloaded it would be normal? I can see with more length that the ride could be softer so to speak. But I will have to see the pro about it. Cheers
Well it's off to Phyllis place this coming weekend to finally get mated together. I've been dragging my feet for too long on doing this and finally bit the bullet to get it organised. I've had lots of ideas running through my head over the last 3-4 months on what I have been wanting to do configuration wise but another good chat with the man should straighten things out. I am hoping to have it back before the Dargo Rally to get some ride time and get used to it, but it may not happen. I just have to work around Phil's schedule and am happy to do so. Only one question remains !! I will I be able to handle riding one of my other bikes for a few months ?? I have been really spoiled by the the Super Ten with traction control ABS heated grips comfy seat really good brakes etc. I'll try and get some photos of the progress on the union for those interested so stay tuned.
Dave and co I'm hoping its gunna be By the way Dave I would love to have a look at your camper outfit you have, it's been giving me some bad ideas along with the setups that everybody else has . Most of the blame has to go towards Neil tho with his great setup. I just think I will have to top Gad's chair, just gotta have something better than his eventually. I may be looking a rendering someones electrical services soon as I have a few ideas I need to run past somebody.
