First day of the new year, feeling nostalgic, decided to explore the far end of "Hacks." Turns out we have 150 pages of threads dating back to 2002. Pretty entertaining to go back and look at those old threads. You should try it! Some of the guys active back then are still active today, like Slacker and Red Menace. And some of the builds are just as cool now as then. Here's a British duo-drive 1150GS rig that was posted in 2005--10 years ago! And there's another thread simply titled "Sidecar?" where a guy says he wants to hack a KTM 950 Adventure so he can take his dog with him and immediately a bunch of the Kool-Aid drinkers leap down his throat screaming about how he will "RUIN" a perfectly good motorcycle. :huh Not much different today! Guess we still have to educate the masses.
Happy New Year Ned, I hope we can do some riding together this year. Might be tough getting you to go slow enough but we can meet in camp.
Happy New Year!!!! Some great stuff in them 150 pages! I know I have learned a ton of things and hope to give back to the forum.
I'm late as usual, but am dying to see pix of your new ride! Like I said before, WUMPA is what drew me into this whole jonesing for a hack, I found out today that Jay makes EVERYTHING I need to hack my Guzzi! Now I just need to misappropriate some funds! It's been a good news day, pix of your new project would be like the whipped cream for the sundae of a day I've had! What does WUMPA mean BTW, don't think I caught that in your build thread? Stay safe out there!
