Unfortunately, my work schedule has changed and I won't be able to make it. :2cry

Please release my spot and let me know if I need to do anything for the refund.

    Hi Gidon,

Sorry to hear that you can't make it but there is always a next year. At least this is how I console myself...
Joel should take care of your refund this week.

all payments must be IN by Jan. 1st.

i need to wrap up the list so i can give the head count to the caterer.

after the 1st, ONLY RIDING IN will be considered, no guarantee though.

From Death Valley National Park Facebook page

"A Few Bad Apples Spoil the Fun
Ibex Dunes in Death Valley National Park is a refuge of natural quiet; a dramatic contrast to the wild fun of Dumont Dunes, the popular Off-Highway Vehicle area on nearby BLM lands. Unfortunately, a few “bad apples” are flaunting the law and giving a bad reputation to all of the law-abiding off-road enthusiasts. Although vehicles must stay on established roads in the Park, there are an increasing number of trespass drivers ignoring the protection that wilderness and national park status provides places like the delicate Ibex Dunes. Your tax-payer dollars have to be spent enforcing rules and repairing the damage caused by a few irresponsible riders.
We appreciate all of you who value what National Parks have to offer and do your part to protect them, allowing OHV areas and national parks to successfully exist side by side. (avv)
Here’s the rules on roads and vehicle use in Death Valley National Park:
    - All vehicles must remain on established roads. This includes motorcycles, bicycles, and four-wheel-drive vehicles.
    - All motorized vehicles and drivers must be properly licensed.
    - Operating a motor vehicle in a manner that causes unreasonable damage to the surface of a park road or route is prohibited.
    - Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) are prohibited from operating inside park boundaries.
    - Vehicles with off-road registration may not be operated in the park."

folks, when in DV and other sensitive areas, let's all keep in mind "thread lightly".

I returned from DV last night. I'm thinking it's been 20 years since I saw gas at this price there:

I am hoping I can be added to the wait list for this rally.

I would be travelling and camping with a registered rider (Red05, KTM530), so would not need a camping space or parking.

My info: Riverslave, WR450. I can pay asap.

    Please consider this late request.

Just to clarify, it sounds like you are a car pooler in an existing truck or riding in?
Go read page 1 and come back here to update your info. Do you need dinners?
Makes it easy for Ersin to figure out..

    Done,

Added you to the IN list. as soon as I got confirmation from Joel, will make it green and you'll be done. You will be staying with RED05 on #73. Have fun.
    Any questions?

So six months later I finally pulled the KLR back into the garage to start looking into a resurrection.

Just as I suspected. Countershaft bearing failure was the root cause of my sudden oil loss. Typically this is caused by over-tightening the chain but it was in spec (I actually checked it when I was waiting for the tow truck, even).

Case is damaged at least at the seal surface, I'm not sure if it is damaged beyond that.

I would like to join in but see that the wait list is 45 deep. Do I need to pay first to get on the list? Shane - fireclimber - MC3 - D3 - KTM 990A

So, what's the fate for those of us on the waiting list? If those on the definitive list don't cancel we're out? Just want to know our options. Thanks!
