Despite the addition of a Ural hack, my Bonneville just can't keep up with my wife's Ural on washed out dirt roads in the Virginia mountains!

No matter what I do, I can't get the 2WD to engage! Thus far, the manufacturer has been no help in fixing this.

After 3" of rain last night, my Triumph was still wet this morning, and the pegs were slippery. I expect more from a new motorcycle!

I have to work to keep it slow on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This darn Triumph just wants to fly through the curves at ungodly speeds!

The list goes on. This Triumph is crap, and anybody who has ever bought a Triumph is an idiot!

Bottom line, just buy a Big Wheels, those things never break, and they give the most bang for the buck in the three wheel community.

If you think you can't break a Big Wheel, I'd like to introduce you to my older brother who decided it would be cool to jump one off a homemade ramp after a running start from the top of the hill at the end of our street....

Of course, that was back in about '70, before helmets and pads and common sense...lol! It's a wonder we're still alive. Then again, he never has been quite right since then...

Dammit, all this crap with the Triumph and now I get hit in the face with a bug while riding. This is clearly due to poor quality control on the part of Triumph's windshield manufacturing plant!

    Don’t ever ride a motorcycle.

Because your wife ends up riding, then you have to buy her a Ural.

When you buy a Ural, you decide you like it and steal it from your wife.

When you steal a Ural from your wife, she gets a little upset and tells you to buy your own.

When you buy your own, it turns out to be a Triumph with a bad windshield that slings bugs on you.

    See, it’s still Ural’s fault. :lol3

At least if you were on the Ural you wouldn't be going fast enough to kill the bug! See? Urals are safe for the environment!

Jay, I damn near needed it today. I got in a rough spot grabbing the NC Tag, bottomed it out quite a few times. I definitely need a skid plate. The bonnie is low!

    Them Triumphs are sucky.

All cept the Steve McQueen bike. I swear its not the Steve McQueen fetish I have. The seat and paint and that exhaust are the bomb.

But if I took it to southeast asia and tried to jump a barbed wire fence, I bet it would break.

Someone once said "breathing ends badly"

But ya correct. Trumpys are heaps of shit. Who in their right mind would own one, or two?

BTW, I haven't been in my right mind for donkeys' years.

    :freaky

sorry. I can't even think of a reason why it's the Ural's fault.
    Then again, I don't think...

So far I have had 5, 2 from Meridien and 3 from Hinckley... Once I rode my '69 Bonneville from Miami to Key West and it took 9 hours to get there! It broke down every 45 minutes... Still, I loved every minute of it and wish I still had it. Nothing like a Trumpet sitting pretty in the garage to help you wake up with a smile, eager to go for a ride. :D

I've got a 67 Bonnie and a 69 Tiger I'm current rebuilding. This Bonnie hack sure is a lot of fun, but it is so much more refined than the old ones that it takes a bit of the fun out. I love this hack though!

Oh boy... After reading this post, I realize that I have made a gigantic mistake. I took my 2010 Triumph Bonneville T-100 to Claude Stanley and am having him build me a prototype Watsonian style sidecar. I foolishly thought I would enjoy having attached to my Bonnie seeing as how I enjoyed the bike so much over the last two years... Now, after reading this thread, I see the errors of my ways. I am going to call Claude and just tell him to keep the damn piece of junk! I will bring him a more respectable motorcycle to attach that hack to. Any suggestions??? :evil

Thank the gods for this forum!
