Usually, typically low HP numbers are an indication of higher than typical TORQUE numbers... See: CBR250R

But at 220lbs, I don't care! That's light enough to pick up and throw at the guy that just tried to run you over!

Throw me some 17's on there... And color me gone!

reminds me of that other Super-Low-weight Yamiha or Yammi re-badge that never made it here... What was that sick thing?

It was a trials bike with plastics... :huh

    A-HA! the T-ride!

Maybe they never made it to Tennessee but they sure made it to Kentucky, where they are distributed from.

the only thing i dont like about this new KTM is its four stroke......and it needs 8 litre tank......for the extra added Awesomeness :drif

Can anyone confirm if it will be street legal in USA or Canada?

Great video, really shows how capable these bikes are... I was reading in one of the articles that the bike was street legal in europe. I'd be very interested if KTM sold this in NA with a plate, not looking to ride down the highway, just want to be able to connect trails or rip around town...

Stop worrying about the hp figure. This bike is about torque.. It is a proper trailbike finally and not an enduro race bike being used as a trailbike. Something a lot of people have wanted for years.

Yup, this is the dirt bike I've been waiting for, something fun and light that I can ride on the trails, that won't rip your arms out, and can be used for easy trials riding.

This one is definitely on the radar. Unfortunately, so are approximately 10-15 other bikes that I can't afford.:lol3

This thing just looks like 25hp mountain bike.

Wonder what the electrical output will be, what the gearing will be like, whether or not that plastic subframe can handle a giant loop bag, and when someone will make a bigger gas tank for it... I'll drink the orange kool-aid gladly if its got enough electrical nut to run my heated gear, load up with camping crap (I already pack relatively light), and can get 3+gallons on it and not have to maintain it much more than my WR250X. Potential to be the best light weight ADV bike...

I think you are missing the point of this bike. It is not meant for that type of riding.
Why would you want to add 100lbs of weight to a bike that was designed to be as light and maneuverable as possible?

If it even makes it to the states, which if it doesn't, KTM is crazy, would make the ultimate girl bike, IMHO!

Watch the video posted above, and that is the type of riding this bike was made for.
Think of your ADV riding more along the lines of exploring the 100 acres of woods down the street you have always wanted to, but your big bike, with bags and such always keep you from doing it.

And for your WIFE to ride. It has the same seat height as a 105SX, would be perfect for the women folk!

At least you can tell them that for the reason you bought it!!!:D

    I was thinking that too.

For an emission choked 4 stroke 350, 24Hp isn't bad. A different pipe would sort that out.

A decent stator and bigger tank would make that a great bike for anybody.
