I am on day three of my trials adventures. Really focusing on stance, turns, and wheelies right now. Anything else I should practice on? I need to get some more obstacles in my backyard!

Don't worry about wheelies for now. Turns turns then some off camber turns for variety.

I will work on off camber turns tomorrow for sure. Was going to work on some tonight but my daughter's XR50 got another flat and she was throwing a fit. :rofl

The trials bike works great to accompany your daughter on her XR50. You have lots of fun in your future...

My daughter on her XR50 at our favorite riding spot:

On Father's Day, she asked if she could learn how to use a clutch. Her TY80 is in a lot of pieces, so I broke out my brother's TY350. She couldn't reach the ground so we had to improvise:

And while we're at it, my younger daughter has finally expressed interest in riding. I don't push, but I enable:

LOL... You got the thumbs up on that last video from your youngest! Really awesome that they are both showing interest. Riding bikes with my dad growing up (and still riding together) is the best thing anyone could ask for.

Getting the trials bike has spurred my daughter into riding hers. She was semi-interested before, but now that dad is out there farting around, she has been gung-ho. She even asked if she could go by herself without Mom on back the other day, but she has a bad case of wide open throttle right now. Gonna have to turn her loose soon cause with the both of them on there they bent the training wheel bar! :rofl It has also developed an intake leak, which is leaving the throttle at high rpms and slow to return to idle. Sprayed some carb cleaner on it this evening to confirm. I have to pull some maintenance ASAP cause she was one unhappy camper when we put the bikes away this evening!:cry

I also need to get a helmet before I break my noggin. I tried wearing my full face street helmet, but it was just too much. Planning on heading up to Iron Pony soon to snag an open face.

I've had really good luck with mountain bike helmets. They are about half the price of a trials helmet offer about the same protection of you get one that covers the back of your head an they are vented way better.

I'm about as slow on my trials bike as I am fast on mountain bike anyway.

    Here's what I'm sporting http://www.treefortbikes.com/produc...ountain.html?gclid=CK7vvMO58LcCFcR_QgodX1IA7A

Ski/snowboard helmets offer food coverage too, but often Don't have visors.

Didn't even think about a mountain bike helmet. Amazon has a few full face in my price range. I think I will go that route.

Didn't get to practice off camber turns tonight, bike won't stay running. :cry I ran it out of fuel last night and dumped in the rest of what came with it when I bought it. I thought it was acting funny after that. Tried to ride it tonight and no go. It's either bad gas or the carb is clogged. I got 3 days of good riding in at least. :rofl

Going to pull the carb this weekend and go from there. Hope I don't have larger issues. :eek1
