Love the tank! I do not have the guards (tank doubles as guards) there should be enough room for the guards.
Seat is AWESOME! Mine is the tall from Seat Concepts. Best seat I have ever had. Have had one on three of my bikes.

That looks really nice with all the black plastic.

Can you see the fuel level with that tank?

That's what I assumed, thank you. My only experience is with natural color tanks.

Pulled all the bearings and regreased them (steering head was dry), balanced wheels (used ALOT of weight), replaced the fuel injector side of the fuel hose twice so far due to leaking (small pin holes in hose) and need to reseed my torn up lawn (self induced).

Harcus/Stu, who makes the radiator guards? Are you happy with them?

    Cheers.

Bullet Proof Designs, best radiator guards by a mile, I have them on 3 bikes. Swingarm and rear disc protectors are really good too.

I have a '13 on order; I didn't realize the rims weren't going to be black. Bummer, I much prefer the black rims.

+1. I was a little bummed, but it does look decent with the black spokes on silver rims.

i really like the orange headlight masks found on the 530s, the part #s seem to be different between those and the new 500s though.
does anyone know where to get an orange one for the 500 or if one from a 530 will work? I just don't see them changing much from the 530 to the 500.

EDIT: ok i see now...the different part numbers I was seeing were just the different color codes (duh! :baldy ) and the old masks are the same as the new white ones.
if anyone else was wondering the same, the part numbers are:

    7800800100028 - white
    7800800100030 - black
    7800800100004 - orange

fuel line broke on new 500 exc, pin hole leak started spraying gasoline, got a boot full

thanks for the fix here, still this should be embarrassing for KTM for them to something proactive

luckily was only on a trail ride and had the 350 exc at the truck :evil

I'm on my 3rd one with 2.8hrs on the bike, completely unacceptable considering where I will be taking this bike in the future. I made a new one from fuel-injector hose from my local auto parts store and have large looping bends in so as not to kink the hose. I will carry a spare with me.

So, after putting the Acerbis 5.3 gallon tank on, I've noticed that the bike gets up to the 220* temp much faster.

I've ordered a radiator fan kit and I'll get it installed on the left radiator

two fans running, with a switch to engage when I want them to engage. Having the TrailTech gauge lets me know the temp at any given time.....

I'll have a write up when i'm done.

edit: Arrggghhh, darned fan is way too big, can't fit it on the left side behind the radiator. Need to come up with something else.

To stop the fuel line from kinking stick a 1/4 inch diameter spring inside the fuel line.
You can bend it as tight as you like.

Does anybody have the Clockwork KTM 3.1 gal tank? I was just curious how people are liking them. I just put one on my bike 2013 EXC.

For this FF that could be the perfect size.

    Anyone?
