I talked to an inmate that is sending me the clutch arm from a CR250 to mod.
I did a CR450 a while back with very good results.

I modified the clutch arm for the CR250 with much success. I got a email from the customer saying he was having trouble medical issues with his wrist and the new clutch arm made such a difference that he was able to keep riding. His wrist problems were definitely helped out by the lighter clutch pull.
Very happy I could help him out and keep him riding.

I must be a maroon, because I can't fit it properly. When I attach the cable to the arm, it makes my cable up top too short to put back in the lever channel.

What am I doing wrong?

The clutch arm changes out pretty easy and adjusts the same as the stock arm. Use the specs right out of the service book. It's also a good time to change out or lube the cable and lever pivot.

I spent a fair amount of time trying to find a way to make the clutch on my '12 friendlier in LA traffic - letting it out from a stop always seemed a bit like I was squeezing a shotgun trigger. When it caught it always felt a bit...sudden.

Eventually I found Ernie's photo gallery and contact info. Quick response, good price, and fast turnaround. The finished product looks like it came from the factory - he does a top-notch professional job, and the clutch actuation force + friction zone size are both much improved!
