I did and I figured you could use the empties for your McGyvering. It must be nice living in a nice arid environment. My bikes get like that in the garage!

My dog almost got shot last night. I was minding my own business watching the paint dry. I had my usual friend in my hand.(Not the warm one!) I had cleaned the frame and cleaned up a few bad spots, primed, and was letting the last coat dry. Out of around the corner comes my dog with his broken chain. He knocks over the bucket holding the frame and his chain snags the frame, dragging the frame down my gravel driveway. There went my last three hours of work.
I was thinking to myself, the last dog I shot killed my neighbors chicken. This is worse! Right then the BHB (Short for women I love) drove up in her red truck. Dog got saved by the B.

Got going bright an early as Gordy got me motivated.

Have two problems. One really plugged petcock and one really screwed shock. I threw the petcock in a bowl of vinegar. Grabbed a pair of calipers looking for a shock. Ended up with a Sachs out of a 2001 Gasser. Just a few shims and it will be fine!
Came across a worn out Counter shaft as I was prepping the engine for paint.

Good luck, bruddah. Heading down to Roswell in W.W. very early in the AM. Hope to see that scoot make life very difficult for NMTrailboss, Gordy, Grizzz, Big Al, and the rest of the Semi's this weekend.

BTW, I am bringing the LA Sleeve TY350 cylinder sleeve down to Roswell for you. Make me an offer I can't refuse.... :lol3

Got quit a bit done today. Spent a long time making bushings for the shock. Here` a pic of my shoe goo fix on the manifold.

Still need carb work and re-weld the stock footpegs. Unfortunately not enough time to change the mounts to modern pegs.

I built my own custom Works Performance shocks in the `90s. The stock Marzocchi on the 305s really sucked (I think I gave mine away). Not sure if I have the info still on what to do to make a WP shock for your ride, but I'll look.

Did ride the Fantic today to check it out for the upcoming vintage event. My shock valving is way too slow making it harder to do rear end hope and unweight. Then again, I made up the shock in like 1995, and slower damping was the norm then. Have mind to get in there and fix that little foible when I get a get a cute little Roundtoit.

It`s almost together, it runs fine. Had to weld a peg at the last minute. My son dug through my parts and found a new Brembo front lever. The pads have oil on them, but did not find a set. Might be torch time in the morning.
The bad is the cheng shin front tire. Will probably change that out with a take off I have laying around. Would have been nice to make the trials early tomorrow. Looks like after sunset now.

It`s been a fun week. Been meaning to get this bike running ever since our local ITSA club included old mono`s. Went from this.

Not bad for a cost of 4.99 for shoe goo. Granted I have a lot of parts laying around. Now if I can make the brakes stop I might just beat a rider or two on a modern bike this weekend. Great way to practice my no-stop!:D:rofl:freaky:lol3:wink::evil
