Beautiful place. I especially like the roll-away for getting underneath the bikes! And screw that second wife. My second walked away with a bike on her finger. And it wasn't a KLR.
In reality is not so compact, but you can take out the ramp and rear tyre extension to make it small. I modified the total height by placing and aluminum block on the last step. With this height it becomes a good working table. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDPLo7TZ3_4 Ramon
Close... it is a 71 Daytona destined to become a custom cafe racer. Someday I will finish it. The rest of the bike is somewhere distributed in those cabinets. Ramon
I have a '71 Daytona but it is this really odd orange with white... Maybe it's a '72... I'll look when I get home. It is in line for resto.
You didn't just TOTP... didjoU!? That's a bannin offense at thumpertalk. At least, it used to be. Havent sat at the kids table for dinner for a looongg time. Oughta go check in over there fer fun and rattle some cages.
And whatdya know!??!?! A TOTP for myself! Back to your regularly scheduled man caves, with a gratuitous pic of mine after digging one of my bikes out from its winter hiding space...
Finally got things cleaned up a bit today.. Between my bikes and the daughters' two, it can get crowded quick.
After a much needed cleaning and washing of ALL the vehicles. The blue snap-on chest belongs to the owner of the white 300R, he is renting a room. When he moves out, the triumph will be where the blue chest is and the grey shelves will go to the backyard, followed by some more craftsmen paraphernalia. Mini-pano: Starting to like this place!
It's been a long time, since I've contributed anything to this thread. Some may remember this being my shop. It's a 24'X36', with 10"/12" attic trusses. My neighbor did the concrete and framed the lower walls, while I was away with work. He and I set the trusses. I did all the sheeting, roofing, siding, etc. Door carriage door hardware and exterior lighting will be added last. I started this project, in '07. The 22'X22' garage was already here. I stripped, shingled, and sided it to match the shop. I've been messing in the shop attic, the last few days. I've got the floor put in. I used clipped 7/16" OSB, as I don't plan to load it too heavily. I can always add a layer of luan, if I should decide to, though. I'm waiting on the dropdown stairs to come in. Then, I'll determine where I want them and cut the hole. This area is 10'X36'. The outer areas, down each side, are an additional 4'X36'. These shots are of the diagonal supports, bracing the trusses. I've seen new construction that don't have these. I've, also, seen a house and commercial building blow down, in straightline winds. Neither structure had any type of bracing. I've got 100A roughed in. This shop wasn't planned and I already poured the driveway. I dug trenches on each side of the driveway and plumbed a water hose into the conduit. With a drilled galvanized cap on the leading end, I drove it through, under the driveway. I busted seven fittings, but, I got it through. This picture is just me thinking that I'm going to run two additional conduits to the ceiling, to ease any additional circuits I may add later. Lighting is the only thing I'm thinking I'll add. Once I get this finished, I'm starting on the house. It's getting an enclosed front porch, three layers of siding stripped, windows, doors, sheeting, siding, and all the trimmings. Then, I'll start the interior gutting. By then, snow should, again, be flying.
Too small!! My wife thinks the next house, retirement time, will only need a one or two car garage? WTF 2-3 car garage and 30 x40 shop might get us by...too small is woman talk
