Everything that can fall off, be knocked of, or broken in a crash has already so there is nothing left to break. Perfect adventure bike.

Bikes fine but back to me, was up my silk tree yesterday cutting off some branches and on the way down from a successful de-limbing managed to get the bottom of my shorts caught on a branch and somehow ended up hanging in mid air from one arm while Mrs Woodman pointed and laughed. Lots of strained neck arm and shoulder muscles today. Must be getting old.

Finished fixing the bike & got to bed 1.00AM , started her up on the drive at 7.00 just to annoy the neighbours
Did 3 races , bike went pretty well. Learnt heaps, great fun. Roll on next weekend at Hampton Downs

The top guys in post classics are bloody fast, it's pretty scary when they lap you mid corner, 2 on the inside 1 on the outside.

Last race was a scratch race determined by race times so we are all of similar speed. That was really cool started to feel more comfortable

1 X happy camper. Yeah yeah I'll post photos later, I'm buggered , going back to bed.

Saw you and Winston at the Pukekohe races yesterday - nice looking bike. You're right about the top guys - they are seriously fast.

If anyone was ever under the illusion that they are not giving it everything, go stand on the bridge over the track when the racing is on and listen to the hiding those old engines are getting as they pass underneath. Lordy lordy.

It's a great day out at the annual classic meeting, wandering through the spectacular spectator bikes parked up, talking to the guys in the pits who are generally very happy to give you the history of the bikes, and watch the racing. It's a busy day!

:earOk lets stop this now cos after watching the classics at the Port races I'm getting bloody keen on building (well unbuilding really) a race/track bike. Then again as you guys were saying the front guys are bloody fast.

    A few pics as requested.

Voltaire & I as complete newbs teamed up to pool our resources of ignorance.

Volty bought the licorice tea , I supplied our humble abode
Herman bought Teutonic reliability. Winston bought sufficient oil leaks for all.

For the BMW it would be a long boring thread involving buying wrecks of TM, junk parts off Ebay the US guys don't want and a mate or two who are handy with lathes and milling machines.....plus the understanding wife who thinks I'm nuts.
I did a brief one on the Airhead forum .....
Got a bit to do for this weekend at Hampton Downs....like sort out the clever breather I made for the gearbox that soaks the air cleaner in EP 90...:huh....and a thermal break to be made between the carb and inlet stub to stop the carb heating up....at least its way under the 95Db threshold :clap
Trustme does his builds on the day....:rofl
Are you on the track my Welly Adventure mate Nev talks about...Karapoti or summit....he says its two way and you get quads and all sorts there....

What you are descibing sounds like typical build thread stuff which is always an interesting read

I suspect your mate Nev is talking about the Pram Track which is a busy 4wd track that is the main connecting link from the Paraparaumu side (Maungatukutuku Valley) to the Upper Hutt side (Karapoti). The tracks we were on don't see a lot of traffic as they are reasonably lumpy and not everyones idea of fun.

These two photos are of the 24hr taken 4 years ago when my boys and I failed to get up the bottom bit - I don't think I'd like to ride a quad up this.
