I've got Bohn pants that I wear with Draggin liners under jeans or khakis to provide a bit of protection in normal-looking trousers. That works fine in spring, fall, and winter, but the extra layers make the whole getup impractically hot in the summer. The two extra layers also require me to size up in some kinds of trousers. I haven't crashed in them, so can't speak to just how good the protection is.

I've got 'em, I like 'em. As far as too hot, I strip off the jacket and just wear the shirt.Very cool but, I know, not as safe, better than spontaneous combustion though.

There are quite a few different kinds of Bohn shirts and pants. Airtex mesh, Cool-air elastic mesh, and the "Adventure" lycra; plus the heavier still others.

Which ones are y'all referring to (holckster, I'm guessing yours is the Adv)?

Where I live I would have to have their lightest mesh. In the warm months (April-October) With the humidity here on the coast I'm sweating as soon as I step outside.
So far no one has convinced me.

Bohn or an armored shirt from Forcefield with a draggin' jeans kevlar mesh shirt over should work for you....

Mine are the "Bodyguard Adventure" lycra.

They use the word Adventure in a number of products, some are "Airtex" and "Cool Air" using mesh fabrics.

Last year bought a Veloicty Juggernaut but have not actually worn it yet.
Somewhat difficult to put on but feels like you could ride thru a brick wall.
