Shock developed a squeak as it reached full extension - caused no problems but replaced under warranty.
Radiator fan packed in - replaced under warranty.

Battery replaced under recall but the original one was still working perfectly.

Wheel bearings and steering head bearings replaced but that is normal for any bike with this kind of use.

For my use, I can't think of a better bike.

The battery crapped out on me on the way back from my 600 miles service. Had they had the battery in stock at the time of service, it would be almost 3000 trouble free miles so far.

At around 3200 miles, catalyst broke off inside of stock muffler creating power problems when rolling on throttle.

Stock header pipe and muffler replaced under warranty. Requested an Akrapovic system for replacement. I paid the difference in price between it and the stock.

No issues since, and muffler is much cooler to the touch.

Here in the Philippines, there were only 4 sold through the dealer and apparently only mine had no problem/s (aside from crashing a lot in dirt:D ), and mine has the highest mileage.:1drink

    0. Bark busters scratched left
    1. Broke gear lever SHAFT on very very slow fall (very expensive), no warranty
1.5 Bark busters scratched even more
    2. Indicator was burnt by Leo Vince pipe
    3. Front disc rotor warped for no apparent reason, no warranty
    4. Head bearings replaced at 20000K
    5. Rear wheel bearings gone dealer never picked that up. Pitty was that sprocket carrier grinded wheel hub ... NOT GOOD wheel still works but won't seal any longer so should really get another one

    6. Leo Vince carbon clamp cracked (Leo Vince was fitted almost from new), so far its been impossible to get a replacement one ...

Over 13,000 miles on my Xchallenge. Rode it across the U.S., across Yosemite, dumped it 3 times in Death Valley and it still did 80 mph all the way home.

Very reliable bike. Of the 6 BMW bikes I've purchased over the years, this is by far the best bike for the money and has been no trouble, except for the original battery that was replaced under warranty. :clap
