    Excellent!

Eisenhower = eyes in Howar(d's head) in the cryptic clue. And "stranger," of course = Stranger Creek and Road. These are between Tonganoxie and Leavenworth. The google-friendly feature is the "high tension" power lines, whose clearcut path is visible. There is a small dirt MX track directly under these same lines on the north side of Dempsey Rd., just over 4 miles to the south of the tag. The business at this location is marked on Google as "Digger Jim," but only on the map view, not the satellite view.

Thnx ..... Digger Jim is appropriate as it took some "diggin" to find it!

Now I can't decide whether to stay with the "sculpture theme" ..... or post up something that would require some road time :ricky to go get it.

    Hmmmm :hmmmmm

Oh yeah...it's in Leavenworth County on the south side of Eisenhower Rd. (aka Leav. Co. Rte. 10), on the angled part about 0.75 miles east of where it ends at 178th St., 200 yards east of Little Stranger Creek, and 10.25 miles west of US73. Eisenhower is the main road running east-west along the city limit line dividing Leavenworth and Lansing.

So, where was this one and how'd you find it? I searched a bit for it, but never came up with anything.

Dang... I was so close on Sunday! Ran into Katbeanz On some sweet gravel roads. He told me to check out the old town of Jarbalo. I found the town but not the tag. Oh well, at least I found some great riding areas and I met another KC inmate[emoji106]

Well, I know where Jarbalo is, and which direction that is from the previous tag, so I just figured on the grid in that area, you go 5 miles south, then 5 miles west to go 10 miles, so the radius was the roughly square root of 50. So I imagined a couple of concentric rings 6.5 and 7.5 miles in radius and googled around between them to the SW of the iron critters. I also think there's a shadow on the far side of the horse head, so maybe I was looking for a N/S gravel road, with what looks like a double track driveway perpendicular to it (that's where rowdyr's bike was parked).

I've been all over on gravel and pavement in that area (mostly on bicycles) but had never seen these sculptures until rowdyr's tag.

So make sure you spend time playing in the gravel and dirt, kids. There's a whole world of stuff out there.

New tag, and what the hey, let's carry on our celebration of sculpture. Taking this one back east.

Mais, bien sûr. As rowdyr said a few posts up:

The anvil is 5.3 miles due north of the Tonganoxie Public Library, and just over a half mile north of where 219th crosses Jarbalo Creek. Heading north on Smiley Rd. from the 24/40 curve in Tongie, it's three miles of pavement, the rest gravel, with one little twisty section as the road climbs north out of the Tonganoxie Creek valley just before the pavement ends.

    How about 39°11'13.34"N 95° 5'13.95"W?

    Izzat English enough?
