Just got back from a weekend in Portugal where the peg now lives. I took a few photo's and a lot of video so some of this may cheer you up 'cos it's friggin freezing back here in the UK. The Peg feeling at home Near the local river, very nice and nice tracks to ride along it as well view of the river on it's own View the other way
Marco came out with me one day to explore some trails One day I did some riding towards a mountainous forest area and came acros this nice little waterfall Another shot of the waterfall I climbed up this tower And could see the peg! And a lot of forest as well Quite a few photo's from this area because the scenery was stunning, hope you don't mind! I think I am at the top here. On another section - I had to stop and take some photo's of the sun through the trees. Probably my favorite tree photo.
And a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oTRYI7zHNE If anyone knows how you embed a video from utube on here let me know and I'll do that.
Nice, show us more. Those mountain photos with the wind turbines looks just like I'm riding here in West Virginia.
Phil, it's near Santa Comba Dao Location in Portugal - where the A is, it's mostly euculyptas and pine forests, really nice and the smell from the euculyptas is great. The first couple of days riding was near here (Santa Comba Dao) Spent one day here in the forest/mountains where the wind turbines are
That looks doable......then back up the NW coast of Spain, roll on spring http://maps.google.fr/maps?f=d&sour...413443&sspn=0.056605,0.154324&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=6
The last picture in post #2 (favorite tree photo) is awesome. Thank you for sharing a bit of Portugal.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rFesXDBuico?fs=1&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rFesXDBuico?fs=1&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> THis is the forest area 15min ride to the north of where my dad lives, amazing area and some tough climbs, unfortunately my shock was blown at the top of this climb, at the end of the video I'm looking at the oil on the floor and trying to work out where it's coming from.
Finally got a shock sorted for the one I blew - so that only took about 4 months. Now it's too hot to ride there but I'll be back in Autumn.
great Pics,I too have a pegaso,I also have a derelict near Coimbra,I will have to find out how to leve it out there so I could just fly out for a week or so,looks like good trails
Great, in that area is a bunch of great trails and track, when you can go further north try to go to Marão/Alvão, is speacheless...cheers from Portugal.
