I forgot to mention, if you are "IN", this is a good place to indicate it.

This fourth Vermont edition of CroMag Campout will be at Silver Lake State Park: http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/silver.htm

I plan to lock the gate at 9pm on Thursday and Friday. Saturday night at 6 pm. If the gate is locked, walk down the hill from the gate, that is straight in, and I will be down at the fire. I will gladly come up and let you in and get you properly papered. How will you find me you ask? Look for something bigger than your average bear, with less hair, at least on top of my head.

    Email and Paypal: CroMagAdvRally@gmail.com

I will open the gate again this year at 5 pm on Thursday night. The leanto's are on a first come first served basis as in the past. Last year everyone was very respectful of the queue, we are hoping for more of the same. For the newcomers: there are hot water showers, you can pitch tents together on sites if you choose or spread out. I imagine there will be some wood sparked and we will have a kumbaya event every night. Complimentary coffee at the shack. There are going to be limited parking spots for vehicles with trailers down by the beach, again FCFS. As in the past, the deal I made was once they are parked they have to stay parked for the weekend and you will have to ride your bike. The purpose of this arrangement is so that the small displacement inmates can come from a distance comfortably and enjoy the weekend. If we finally get a rush on little bikes taking advantage of the dirty routes we will be able to find you parking if it fills up. Don't be nervous, Guymanbro has you covered and will be glad to take you along on his very nice wooded gnarly trips. There are some route sheets you can purchase for off road rides, money goes to the organizer who published them. I have been given a couple of GPX routes too, we can provide, e-mail me with questions. I should mention this is a big person event. There is no hand holding, maybe some nudging in the right direction, no rides like a Hog group with a SAA or anything like that. There is a nice country store at the bottom of the hill with a great breakfast, lunch, early dinner bar, ice and refreshments. Numerous good places to eat in the area and roads, roads, roads. Most folks get a group together and head out. Don't be shy, most anyone will be glad to take you along. Some groups are different than others, you will need to feel that out. Ride within your limits is about it.

You cannot bring self contained units (RV's) to the event. Sorry if that irks you, that is the overwhelming sentiment of the group and the park. There are camping areas not too far away. There are some B&B's in the area and the Woodstock Inn is quite close and very nice. More reasonable bed rates can be found in White River Jct., VT. I will provide you a list of area restaurants, emergency info etc.

Paypal to the above e-mail address please. If you want to send a check e-mail me and I will give you an address. When sending in the the paypal, please be sure to reference your Adv screen name as well as the other information below too. Thanks so much, it saves me a lot of time!

Some things I need to have from you if you are a first timer or I don't have the information showing:

    1. Meat eater or Herbivore?
    2. Address for the list I give the park. E-mail it to me please at the address above.
    3. Arrival day
    4. Whether you are riding in or need a parking spot for your trailer and small displacement bike.

A few comments about Saturday's dinner:

The Saturday dinner is a fundraiser; last year the CroMag Campout generated $1275 in donations for the VT Food Bank. In light of all the destruction we got to see while riding around the state that weekend it was a no-brainer to send it their way. Thanks to everyone who pitched in: I will bring the terrific thank-you letter we received from the VT Food Bank folks and put it up in the pavilion for you all to read.
We're going to continue to donate the money raised from this meal to the Food Bank; they help 1 out of 7 Vermonters every year. Seems like a good cause to me.
We are requesting a $20 donation for dinner (to save confusion, this is separate from Clark's registration fee). You can either pitch it into the jar we will place at the start of the buffet line or make a donation on-line to the VT Food Bank and bring the confirmation email they will send you to the campout.
My wife & I donate the food; every dollar in the jar goes to the food bank, and your donation is tax deductible.

    About the meal:
We are Serv-Safe certified and members of an amateur competition BBQ team (think "BBQ Pitmasters", except more photogenic).
In order to feed 80-100 people in a timely fashion in the middle of a state park in VT we try to keep it simple but satisfying; here is what we'll have to offer:
All you can eat pulled pork BBQ sandwiches
    Brisket chili (best ever)
    corn bread
    slaw
    Brownies or watermelon for dessert
For vegetarians we will have spicy black bean burgers and vegan red beans & rice
We have a close friend who has a gluten sensitivity; as a result we've become pretty good at GF cooking; if that is an issue for you PM me and we can accomodate.

Closest Yamaha shop Bruce Turco in Rutland..... If you ride blue you might want this info in your hands: http://www.turcosyamaha.com/

If you are a Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki type the closest is here: http://www.centralvermontmotorcycles.com/ also in Rutland.

other area shops are on the list I have for you at check in.

Here is the code: The numeral is position signed up in; The name (Attendee) should be obvious to you I hope D-:; Next is (Meal) choice, Meat is for BBQ and Veggie is for lovers; (Parking) is: BO-bike only or TV for trailer and vehicle up to 20 spots (TV 1 - TV 20); if you have (Paid) it will say Paid on your line of info, if you have not nothing will be indicated; (Arv) is your arrival and is either Th, Fr or Sat.; the Yes or No indicates whether I have your address (N&A) or not for the sheet that goes to VT, yes, I have it, no, I do not. That probably hopefully clears some things up. I cannot get the formatting to hold when it posts....sorry.

    Question

If I were to bring a Van with/without trailer how far from the activities etc. are cage vehicles parked ?

Alternatively is it just trailers that are bad and a Van could be at a campsite ?

I ran a Strom event in Bethel this year in August and thinking maybe join with Cromag

Sorry, but it is a motorcycle camping and riding event. The parking spaces are for those dragging their little bikes from afar. They have to be parked down in the public parking lot and stay there until we leave. Love to have you guys along if that will work for you. Totally understand some like Ivory soap and clean sheets at night. This is not that.

Trailers, did you say Trailers? We are not thinking about any trailers! In my best Mora voice.

Hmmm, 49 weeks is usually not enough advance notice for me, but what the hell, I'm in. Unless I'm not.
Sorry to have missed this year's festivities, but had some unplanned stuff come up the night before. Not next year, tho. :lol3
