Hi Tink,

Just put those Michelins on my '78 R100, but still doing other major maintenance/repairs. Will probably be on the road in a week or so. Took off Dunlops, so I'm expecting great things.

We'll see

We'll see. Not that the Avon was a bad tire, I just don't have much experience with bias ply tires and wanted to compare the Mich Activ to the Avon Roadrider.

That's what I wanted to hear! Will probably be on them next week. (i started to just kind of freshen it up a little bit. Then one thing led to another, and it's going to be a R105!)

Great thread, just going through it page by page. I wish my local BMW dealer would carry some stock for the older Airheads. I got lucky one time and they had 1 carb bowl gasket of the two I needed in stock. Normally have to wait over 1 week to get simple things like oil pan gaskets and such.
