Okay Nighthawk owners, come out of the closet! Let's have our own thread to celebrate one of the most underated bikes ever. Post you're pics and any Nighthawk discussions. Here's my new (to me) 2003 750

Done so far:
EBC HH brakes, Russell Stainless lines, exhaust baffles drilled (see nighthawk750.com) GPS added, Uni filter

Things on order:
New tank (mine is dented), 14T front sprocket, carb jets and shims,

Near future: Progessive Suspension shocks and springs.

Best bike in the world, IMHO. I love mine dearly. It's been parked for a while. One of these days I'll need to refurb it.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm nuts about the SC's.

I usually post at the Yahoo CB750 group but the more the merrier.

My ride is a 92 NH750 set up for sport touring. (I call it an "NH750-ST")

It's got Tour Master bags, Rifle fairing, VisiPath headlight modulator, Electropod LED taillights, Stebel Nautilus airhorn, highway pegs, drink holder, compass, XL tank bag, Ventura luggage rack, NEC throttle lock, Throttle Rocker, CB radio w/headphones, etc., etc. (I think I could have gotten a new bike for what I spent on add-ons.)

Nice bikes, lots of 'em here in Japan. I've always wondered why Honda didn't put a shaft drive on 'em like the CBX750 Horizon.

Horizon? Why, that's just a big ol' Nighthawk S.

So it is! Pretty positive review back in the day, especially about the shaft drive and hydraulic valves. Sounds like it'd make a great daily runner.

Nice bike, hmmm those shocks are the same length and have adjustable dampening, might have to visit ebay.The earlier Nighthawks seem to be much less of a budget bike and had alot of nice parts, i.e. gear indicator, dual discs, rear disc, shaft drive, adjustable sus pension,more aluminum less steel. BTW is that a Campbell's soup can up on the fairing?

I had one of those back in the 80's. I bought it at a wrecking yard. It had cosmetic damage and a broken shift drum. ($275) I had to split the cases to put in another one. I did it in a metal utility building in Alabama in August. It was a great MC. I traded it for a Trans Am of course.

What the best way to jack up a Nighthawk? I need to change my tires, don't have a center stand, and a ATV lift would not work well for me as I don't have a garage to store it in, my shop is in the basement.

How many SCs made it to super high mileage?

The ATV lift doesn't work too well without modification because of the way the pipes wrap under the frame. I figured that out after I got the lift home...
anyway, for minor work, I use a hydraulic floor jack under the frame where the center stand would mount and then chock/brace with boards and bricks.
I plan to make some wooden blocks to fit to the frame and attatch to the ATV lift plates soon
