    Ok, I get crap fer not knowing stuff about the engine on the bike I ride and then I get crap for knowing the engine of the computer I use.....sigh.

    bmwgs.com = [ 64.71.133.226 ]

    BUT

    64.71.133.226 = [ ]

    AND

    advrider.com = [ 63.81.134.25 ]
    63.81.134.25 = [ pluto.smugmug.com ]

    SO

    This would likely indicate that the DNS resolution your business networks (VPN and otherwise) do not allow routing to some of these destinations. You are getting in on some and not others because the addresses resolve to different places (IP addresses) even if they end up pointed at the same web server. Since it doesnt appear there is reverse DNS setup either that would make it even more random depending on the type of network and the type of connection protocol you are using at a particular time.
    When you use VPN you are actually running through the network information of your business, even when you are home - so you might get blocked via the client....

    Possible solution: Setup VPN to your home machine???

    OR

    put one or more of these DNS server entries into your network preferences and it might start bypassing the DNS your work or VPN server use for advrider queries. Then again your network admin might get pissed and shut you down... or you might already be too locked down to do this... (dont take any of the current DNS entries out though....)

    DNSONE.ROADTOAD.NET 209.209.9.66
    NS5.SMUGMUG.COM 63.81.33.211
    NS1.SMUGMUG.COM 64.71.184.149
    NS.ANARCHY.COM 64.71.133.226

    Ok, Ill shut up now....
