your not going to be able to raise the bars much about an inch at most with the stock throttle and choke cables. I'm 6'2" and it's ok at that height a little taller would be nice but it's not bad. Stock peg location.

Boxer Supplies and some other European sites sell a footpeg lowering kit and bar backs. Been using them for about 7 years..6'1".

Pegs go down about 2 inches and the bars come up and back about an inch. MUCH more comfortable for long rides and standing on the pegs.

I made some brackets that move the pegs down and back 1-1/4". I've been very happy with them.

I've got a set of the pegs that Beemerguru's referring to. They move the footpegs down and forward and I didn't like them as much for standing. They're very comfortable sitting down though. I've got the pegs and the shift lever if you're interested.

I tried Fastways pegs on my g/s but they moved the pegs too far forward. I couldn't get my size 14s to work well on the shifter and brake.

The SWT pegs move them down & back.

Most other lowered pegs are down & forward, & those need modifications to the shifter & sometimes the brake.

    Migsel pegs.
I like that they are narrow, most prefer wider. Lowers & moves the peg forward.
I don't do a lot of standing, maybe 30% of the time & usually for short periods of time.
I have enough sole support in my boot so that I don't notice the narrowness & it's easier to pivot my foot around.
You do have to shorten the shifter & add a roller.

I use these risers most of the time. I've raised my seat height by 1/2 inch as well.
Can't remember where the risers came from......?

+1, mine worked fine, but then again it looks like fastway has introduced some different designs recently.

But the other ones work too. I'm using the evolution air and they are great.
I do have a short gear lever.

I've got fastways and love them. Lowered the pegs an inch or more and wider footprint. Most of the GS bikes use the same footpeg if I remember correctly

I've got the stock ST shift lever and the original style fastways. No problems whatsoever fitting my size 12 boot in there.

has anyone here got a picture of swt sport down and back type footpegs fitted to a G/S. I am particularly interested in the muffler side as I have an after market side stand which may interfere with the peg
