(2-2) A match of the bullpens last night in the Bronx over 13 innings and it comes down to game 5. Kudos to Buck and the boys for hanging tough. On the other hand we were 0 for 9 with RISP and 10 were LOB.

A-Rod, Swisher, & Granderson went 1 for 14 last night.

    A-Rod 2 for 16/9 K's; Granderson 1 for 16 with 9 K's in the series.

    Sabathia vs. Hammel today.

It's time for offense to let loose.

to be honest, as a baseball fan it's tough to root against the O's. My dad's an O's fan and he loves to rub it in my face. :D Still, I can't dislike what they've been able to accomplish. It's a shame their incredible season comes to an end tonight.

I feel like nobody hates the O's. After Boston lost to them last year, I wore my O's jersey the next day while in NH and Boston, and no one said anything negative. I am getting high fives from red sox fans all day the past couple days while wearing my O's jersey. It is nice seeing people care about baseball in Baltimore again. I am still hopeful for a Washington Vs. Baltimore world series.

I agree, of course I am rooting against them, however it is hard to "hate" them like some other teams. If by some sad miracle they win tonight I will be rooting for them and hope they play Washington in the series.
That said CC will be on and their incredible season of golf will start tomorrow:D

(3-2) Now let's get the A.L. pennant. CC allowed four hits in 9 innings striking out nine. Pettitte vs. Fister today.

hey pound sand, what was that you were saying about how good the Yankees hitting was and how that would take them over the top?

    :nah

they look like a buncha rookies.

Jeter going down for the remainder of the year has me sick to my stomach.

(0-1) in the ALCS is minor compared to the loss of the Captain until 2013.

Great comeback in the bottom of the 9th; Sad to see Jeter go down - the Yakees will miss his leadership for sure.

(0-2) as we cruise and lose on the way to Motor City. Apparently there is no need for the offense to show up because it won't make a difference at the plate. Kuroda did a hell of a job tonight. Hughes vs. Verlander on Tuesday. Keep the faith!

We'll see, supposed to be decent weather for a change.

The Tigers haven't been hitting that well for Verlander this year though.

Did anyone else think that the strike zone was VERY large in the first 2 games?I don't remember so many low pitches (for both teams) being called strikes in a while.

The strike zone had been ridiculously inconsistent, for both teams .

Game 1, maybe game 2 as well although it seemed more random, it sure seemed like the strike zone shrunk through the course of the game. Has to be frustrating as hell for a pitcher to deal with that sort of crap.

(0-3) It's do or die tonight. Good pitching will always negate good hitting, but this is pitiful to watch.
