Charlotte: Ride Planning, 3rd Thursday Pizza-Meet and General Hooliganism

Sick bike, is it plated? Next time I get straps that looks like a better alternative for sure.....

It is plated, or it will be later this week when I make it to the DMV. Took it out yesterday and explored some local Charlotte trails.

Ok - we know Boike is already up there. When is everyone else arriving? I suppose we better determine when and where we are meeting Sat morning. That will decide if I am driving up Sat early or Friday night.

It is sick. I rode it for about 500 yards. That was long enough to figure out that a bike that weighs 100lb less than yours but has nearly the same power, is cool.

Is anyone up for a big bike ride this weekend?

What had in mind was a Saturday afternoon departure. Riding up 80 to Mt. Mitchell and the cutting over on the BRP to the to Wilson Creek area to camp. Sunday ride till noon and head back after a late breakfast or early lunch.

I'll be at Ironhorse station which is the first building you come to when you come into town....when we get there Thursday I'll ask where would be a good place to leave a couple trucks and or trailers, the town is tiny. but let's make the official leave point at what appears to be the only gas station. As far as leave time goes I would think no later than 10 but I would like to go earlier if we can and anyone driving up from Charlotte doesn't object, let me know your thoughts.

Or...... A Sunday ride up 80 to 226 to 221 to 181 then back to Charlotte. I was doing some planning and Mt Mitchell to Wilson Creek is to far of a stretch leaving Saturday.

I'm south of Charlotte so I will drive up since I dropped a tooth on my front sprocket. Has anyone decided if they are wanting to camp?

Wish I could go on one of the rides planned for this weekend, but my son and one of my daughters are coming in for a visit this weekend. Have some technical networking issues in my new house to work on with my son.

Got my saddlebags installed Sunday morning before I headed down to Alanta for a few days of business travel.

I might be in. I'd like to go camping at least once this summer, but I won't know if I can come out and play this weekend until plans firm up.

I'm planning on heading out sat morning. Doing the 24 hrs of booty the night before, lol look it up if you don't know...

I just need to hook up with a truck or trailer to get up there. I can make it to I485 somewhere around I77 by taking highway 21 up that way, just let me know a time and I'll be there. Figured I'd provide some comic relief for y'all with my falling and flailing around. Give everyone a little exercise too, deadlifting my bike and possibly me all day.

well Lee, when will we go on this trip? We may not be Cosmonauts, Moonmonauts, or Atrologymonometers, but we know how to have fun!!!

No. I twerked my radiator on our last outing, and I'm going to fix it right which will require some custom fabbing. When I get it fixed, I'm going to be right there with the craziest of you!
