Took about 30 minutes on Mapsource and bouncing it off google maps and my Butler Map. Hardest part was finding fuel stops.

I think the San Diego crew should move our meetup time in Ramona to 0600 find a gas station burrito or something and head out so we can get headed north and get to Gold Point in time for dinner :norton:norton:freaky:freaky

I HAVE to check out the area that the racetrack photo is from. I have always wanted to see a view like that in person.

Nice guys, this is really shaping up to a great event! How many folks are riding a big bike? I am, as it's my only one. I will be on the easier stuff out there for sure!

I will be either on a GSA or 640A... There is plenty big bike riding, I've been going twice a year (April and October) for 8 years and still am amazed that I haven't seen it all.

Ok, the one time I was at the Racetrack we walked out to the Grandstand. We got there and there were like 8 naked chicks sunbathing on the rocks. They were not too pleased that three crusty moto riders invaded their space. Hey, I'm sorry that I couldn't see from a quarter mile away that you all were naked. Had I seen you were naked, I would not have walked out here. I would have run out here.

For the record the 8 naked chicks were mid-20s.

I will expect more naked chicks if we go out to the Racetrack. :freaky

The best sliders are at the south end of the lake.
The hike into the rock pile is worth it. Great place to lunch in the shade.

I found this little fellow in the brush at Race Track a few years back, I was amazed at how well he blended in...

that story about the girls, hilarious. too bad you did get any pics, so far it's just pictures of dudes and food! :lol3 what the heck were they doing out there anyway!? so random.

this is awesome. reminds me that with all the "pain in assness" of living in California at times, we have access to rides like this.

for you guys on bigger bikes, do you really think a skidplate is worth the investment as insurance for the type of riding out here?

That there is a Panamint Rattlesnake (Crotalus Stephensi). Saw one back in March near Goler Wash. Very cool coloration.
