I'd think about it, but I'm not sure my little Wee would survive. Plus, I'd be up against DRs rather than GSes...

I am fairly sure that if you showed up on a KLR and signed up for the ADV class, they wouldn't bat an eye. Now if you won and someone lodged a complaint...:deal

Hi......just wondering if I have to worry about pre-registration or if I can just plan to show up, pay my money and ride?

The line for non-pre-registred was HUGE last year (I waited an hour) and the pre-registred was very small. Worth doing it beforehand just for that.

Unless there's a new change in my life,
I regret very much to say I'm most likely OUT :cry
    Still a maybe....but....
I'll probly have be in that long non-pre-reg line if I can pull this off.

    My new boss?
But even then, the wheels would still turn 'round.
n00bs always work the weekends, right?
and so it should probly be....

I didn't have a boss (except my broke-ass self) when I so enthusiastically posted my "in". Times change, and I finally, and obviously reluctantly, had to bow down and change with 'em :cry

Add one more newbie to the pre-registration on a Husqvarna Strada (converted to Terra). Just found out they had an Adventure class and my bike qualifies to the exact cc: 652cc of Husqvarna/BMW/Chinese/Italian goodness and suspension travel that is second only to some of the pre-86 class.

I'm going in the Adventure spirit for this event...hauling everything I need for the event on the bike, leaving it camp while I do the race (& poker run too), and putting it back on for the ride home.

A fellow ADVrider forum member is planning to go on his KTM 690 and looking forward to hanging out with some other ADVRiders.

Now to decide whether to live with my 2/3 tread TKC80 or splurge for a D606 or comparable for this event. I don't think the new Mita E07 I'm using for the UTBDR is the right way to go.

Looking forward to this! Last time I went was in 1973 when my dad won the team class in Mattawa. The smell of Castrol and watching two-strokes bounce across the desert was powerful stuff for a 4 year old.

Well I guess I'm in for the dual sport ride and the Adventure class race on Sunday. I'll ride down and tent it as well. This will be my first race.

Looking to finish and not be last. :deal

House is sold and I will be leaving for PNW next week. Making a few stops and don't expect to get to Seattle until 1st week in April. The magic eight ball says signs point to no on me making it but I'll keep shaking until I get an answer I like.

    Glad to see ADVers represent!
