Since starting on our RTW trip we have had a number of weird and wonderful places to lay our heads for the night, some came very unexpectedly and usually end up being great fun.

So we thought we would start a thread for these unusual types of accommodation, bring your weird and wonderful places to the desktop for all to enjoy with a description as well.

Note this is not a favourite camp thread but more for unusual stuff, we will start and add to it as we encounter new and interesting places

Pretty cool.

The last minute, unplanned overnight accomodations can
sometimes be the most unique & rewarding.

Unique can also mean, "strange, bizzare, dangerous"

The Cheviot Jail - try it when you're back home!

That window in the pic is not part of our room. Very small room - once all the gear was in there was no floor space left.

Cabin from the 1830s. Some modern updates but still pretty cool place to stay.

The slope of the yard made it interesting parking two big cruisers.
