    Greets!

I did a quick search, but it's hard to find a thread about Kymco Agility,
when the word "agility" pops up in every scooter thread anyway.
    :D

    I currently ride a Peugeot Speedfight2 50LC (2 stroke) around town,
it's got 14k trouble free miles on it, will do 50mph (indicated, of course),
but it's getting old/tired, and I'm not too fond of the 2 stroke thing either
(maybe when I was 16, but I'm almost 27 and..)..
    :D

    Anywhu!
The Agility seems like a good choice, it's cheap, both versions 50/125
are more fuel efficient then my 2 stroke 50cc, and the 125 is, of course,
    faster.

    I've read a lot about Kymco's durability/quality and I've worked at a
scooter shop (peugeot dealership/workshop) for 2 years, so I don't need
the usuall "Kymco is great responses".. but I'd appreciate some 1st hand
info from current/previous owners of the little Agility.

The stock 50cc won't do because it's slower then mine, and I'd like a bit
more oomph. There's a 80cc kit avaliable that suposedly makes a huge
difference, but no one has any specific numbers. If it can't do 55mph
and get up to 40mph faster then my speedfight, it won't do.

So, gimme your $0.02 on the Agility 125!
    :ear

It's the Chinese Kymco, but they don't seem to be bad bikes, we had less trouble with the Agilities than we did with a couple of People 200's we sold.

The 50 has the QMB 139 drive train that is fitted to thousands of Chinese 4 stroke 50 cc scoots sold all over the world. There's lots of hop up kits for these but they require a bit of skill in knowing how to jet the carbs, and playing around with the right CVT weights and spring to get the engine to rev more.
I doubt that you'll get more than 50 mph out of the hopped up 80 cc bike.

There's a thread here in the archives from Soboy about an Agility 125 he bought, he seemed really happy with it.

Thanks, I'll skip the 50/80, I don't wanna mess around with that.

I've got a 2007 Agility 125. Bought it last summer from the original owner - it had 250 km on it. Now it has about 1200 km. Great scoot - reliable as a Honda, gets 90 mpg if you take it easy and 80 mpg if you ride it like you stole it. Strong drivetrain. Handles well, very maneuverable, and it is a hoot to ride. Lots of underseat storage, grocery hook and a flat floor let you haul an amazing amount of stuff. Does fine two up also. Acceleration is good. Brakes and suspension are just ok, they are not great. It seems to be happiest between 40 and 50 mph, you can ride it all day at those speeds. Goes up steep hills fine. I have seen an indicated 70 mph (which is really a lot closer to 60 due to speedo error), but I would not want to spend much time at that speed. Highly recommended.

+1 on everything Soboy said. Thanks to him, I bought a used 2008 Agility 125 in September. It has 3700 trouble free kms. Before buying this scooter I talked to the local Kymco dealer about potential problems. They said they've never had a warranty issue on an Agility and they've sold plenty of them.

I've read through your thread (3, 4 pages?!), I like what I read, and
was actually expecting something in that ballpark. Mediocre finishing touches
and suspension, but a fun, agile and efficient ride around town.

It's on the top of my 'aroundtownscooters' list..
    Thnx!
