GTA UNMERGED / spur of the moment ride thread

Based on Martyman's "Anyone near Markham" thread, I thought that I would start a thread for Toronto (or near) thread to keep on hand for spur of the moment rides or even organized boots out of the city. So far, we have interest from:

1- Martyman5000 - Markham - traffic? What traffic? Pacific Mall is always like this...and so is Markville Mall
2- Kruzuki - North Ghetto (Bathurst and Steeles)
3- alongat - South Ghetto (Bathurst and Eglinton)
4- TOTim - unknown and undisclosed location somewhere in Toronto - very ominous...
5- motomart - south EtobiCOKE or Pepsi
6- BMWORBUST - Belleville - neighbour to Shannonville and home to some nasty bar on 62 south of the 401 somewhere...I will not publicly admit having been there :)
7- EduardoMas - Bathurst and Davenport (he escaped the south ghetto and lives in the shadow of Casa Loma; a strange and mysterious wedding and tourist magnet)
8- alpi - Thornhill - the east side of the north ghetto if he's east of Yonge
9- OntarioGS - Peterborough - close to my favourite track; Mosport (now owned by Crappy Tire)
10- Looking for GeorgeDaMan - Toronto, Yonge and Loblaw Supermarket - KTM 950 Super Enduro (Batman's dirt bike)
11- Looking for AVSJack - Yonge and Summerhill as well as some little town somewhere in England somewhere (sheep, dirty pubs, stinky cheese, no women in sight...)
12- Looking for Biggsman - Richmond Hill - not so interested in dirt but seems to tolerate gravel

I'm riding to Grand Bend to watch the SOAR race on Sunday.Mostly hwy but might take some dirt roads passed Kitchener.
Anyone wants to ride and watch some road racing and drag?

Interestingly, I don't think that I know anyone on the list.
Are you all going to make it up for the Fall Colors ?

HAHA! no really. George, you'll have to make it out to the fall colors ride, always good fun and good people. I'll be on my 450 probably, I'll try and keep up to your new 950!

Thanks for showing up here.The new 950 still owns me offroad but working on it atleast once a week.

I think we all did Scott but i don't see a lot of action of actually getting together for rides.I even posted some ,no respons.
Most postings are about how good the rides were on the weekends.

I think the intention here is to have quick posting for rides among people who are close together.

..and i will make to the Fall Colors this year..unless i get rear ended again..

Email list is building for this interested - got some of your PMs but still missing some. I'm happy to use the forum for posting get togethers/rides/etc but for some people, getting an email directly from a person or group might be a more effective way to be notified for ad-hoc riding, etc.

Checking in from Newmarket... I ride a DRZ, which has some relatively serious knobbies on it right now, so I try to stay as far away from pavement as possible.

Anyone have a good route for a ride this long weekend? The weather is forecast clear.

Thinking about riding to North bay Friday afternoon and camp in a provincial park and head home mid Saturday after doing some trail riding...nothing heavy or demanding, never been up that far.

What type of ride are you looking for? I have a few that are easily accessible from your location.

A good day ride with gravel, dirt road and some double track. Something for the 1150gs.

Good time to head to the bay-- our snow is gone!!
Really is a great place to live or even visit. Which park? The ride around Lake Nippissing is good some nice twisty roads.
