The weekly meeting are hard to get to when your prepping and loading for friday takeoff!
Trying to ride every other weekend, some where somehow!
We'll get together soon enough! I've only been on this forum for six years, reading and gaining knowledge! I tend to ride alone or with just a few friends. Trying to see what these events are all about this year! Spring Brake was a hoot even thought the weather was not on our side! Ask Apple Jam.
Assimilation and Application of information takes time when your trying to be like Jettin Jim and parepin!
I was not able to get out much before, work, kids, marriage etc. Things have changed and I'm starting to engage in other social behaviors like ADV Rides!

That's the thing.....when I vacation, I prefer to sleep in a tent. Sometimes I've slept under the stars on a cot or on a picnic table, or possibly passed out in a chaise lounge..... er, anyway. I digress. I travel for work on occasion and I stay in Hiltons and Marriotts. If I have to get a hotel on my own dime I don't want to pay for those. But Motel 6 and Days Inn and Super 8 and the like gross me out.

So in summary I'm a hotel snob, who'd rather sleep on the ground. G'night.

Hey! I sleep in a tent! so what if it's in the back of my truck! and I use a sleeping bag and cot... The truck is for hauling things so I put things in it and HAUL them... to fun events such as this.


If I could figure out a way to fold my king size mattress over the bike I'd likely HUAL it too!

Looks like I'm not the only one looking forward to this .

My recovery from the busted femur of 10 weeks from last Sunday is going well. Had a checkup with the bone Dr. Tuesday and he said "Get on your bike and ride, just don't crash yet."

My noob riding partner is getting some miles in and seems to be a natural at this. We're trying to get her out at least once a week now.

I plan to finish the ride that I broke my arm on last July before heading out on my big adventure this year... And before that I plan to get Bear69 out a bit, maybe a short overnight trip somewhere to plant the bug...

You have to admire a doctor that has such a realistic outlook.
