I'm a huge fan of this build. Keep it up. I want to see a total build amount in USD when you're finished! Everything seems hilariously cheap (and super high quality!) over there.
MOAR!!!!!!! I need more progress.......really enjoy the enthusiasm<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
At this point I'll assume the goverment got a hold of you, for breaking some Chinese entertainment law. Best of luck in your escape....
Thanks for the heads up guys. Ok so we have been a bit slack with this bike over summer. It's been too hot here to work outside so we have been busy just cruising to the beach, body boarding and cooling off. Tom has been quite active clocking up about 20000klms around China on various trips. He and Joe are riding across inner mongolia at the moment, after shipping thier bikes up there. We have the engine installed and the exhaust is at the welders. I'll upload some pics later. Thats all for now, watch this space. p.s. anyone point me in the right direction for a simple wiring diagram, we got a rectifier, coil but no cdi unit, 6 wires out of the engine but i don't know which are lighting and ignition. Do i need to run a battery with this system? cheers rich
Nice progress guys! I was in Shenzhen this summer and I totally get the comments on the heat. I also get why you were excited to have a track to ride on, you need some big balls to ride a motorcycle around urban China!
Very entertaining thread guys, i hope she gets to see the track one day. Nothing better than a 5hp engine to teach you to carry speed around the bends! Definitely use that wee seat by the way.
I'm pretty sure that expansion chamber will mess up the jetting, those engines & carbs are meant to run with a basic muffler... But that expansion chamber and boost bottle should easily get her around 15hp, if not more. I wonder what the powerband will be like, that expansion chamber is meant for a 50cc.
