I'm building a custom center stand on my R90/6.
It utilizes a bracket I've designed that mounts to the engine mount bolts as well as the original mount point. The stand pivots on a 1/2 inch axle located lower and just behind the oil pan. I completed the project using a cut up Reynolds stand, but find that in the lower position the Reynols design has poor leverage.
I want to use a BMW stand that uses it's candy cane shape to roll the bike up.
The issue is, which one? I need one shorter than the stock /6 version (around the length eye to foot of a Reynolds) but with the same width across the mounts. BMW changed the design to a shorter stand pivoting further below the frame on later bikes. Anybody know the eye to foot length of the later stands, including R65? Are they the same width at the top?
    Which one is most stable?
