    Hi Everybody

Well the first round of the WSB 09 was at Phillip Island and this is the RR covering the event and the ride there and back.

I left Sydney early morning on Wednesday 25th Feb along with a myte and we took the freeway till Goulburn. Surprising to see a copper at 5.00 am with a radar in the "roadwork" section before Pheasnts nest. Thanks to the truck ahead we were within the speed limit. :evil

    The route taken was:

Sydney - Freeway to Pheasants nest - Goulburn - Tarago - Bungendore - Captains Flat - Anembo - Jerangle - Bredbo - Cooma - Monaro Hwy to Bombala - Delegate - Bonang - McKillps Bridge - Wulgumerang East - Gelandipy - Buchan.

Sorry I do not have any photos of day 1 coz I did not charge the battery.

The run through Mckillops bridge was awesome. We stopped for some pictures of the Bridge and also had a lil dip in the snowy river.

The Buchan Lodge was a great rest place and the feed at the pub was tops!:thumb Thanks for the tip KTMpaul!

    Next day the route was:

Buchan - Buchan South - Ensay - Bruthen - Bairnsdale - Bengworden - Sale - Taralgon - Grand Ridge Road - Meriboo North - Leongatha - San Remo - Phillip Island.

    At the Buchan Lodge

The ride through to Ensay was beautiful

    Typical wherethefuckarewe break

Myte on his K with the trailer!

We came across only one gate

:lol3Of course, I dropped the Tiger off this little slope. My myte has got the photo of all three of us picking her up over to the road!:lol3

We stopped at Barinsdale and had a pizza lunch break

From there, we rode through parts of the fire affected areas. I was a sad sight to see.. sorry no photos.

Then we got on to the Grand Ridge road and then to San Remo and then to the Island.

Just in time to set up house as the sun was setting on the Bass Strait

Thanks once again to Matt for the passes! You are a legend myte!!:thumb

Friday through to Sunday, it was ATGATT :dealand ready to go around the track watching the bikes.

I know there are many photos from fellow inmates on the bikes so I am just posting a few action shots here

    Some Super sports bikes

And the Green Goblin (Matt) giving us the ADV salute!

    Incongnito??

Which got noticed by the authorities

And Matt promptly got arrested :lol3

His wrist after the cuffs were taken off :rofl

I feel sooo sick doc!! :lol3

Now for some of the Superbikes:

    Biaggi - Aprilia

    Ze BMV..Ya?

    Ducaaatee

    Suzee

    Kawak

    Couple of Hondas

    Syks going Off road

    Spies staying on the road

    Something about these trees....

Saturday avo, came to the Isle of Wight hotel but was not brave enough to do the ADV salute to strangers on my own!!

As I was waiting for Matt, saw this beauty rock up to the Hotel... It actually has a Helicpoter engine!!

And finally we had a BIG ADV gathering...:bluduh

It was good to meet you Steve, Paul + G/F and Matt!! :thumb

After the final race sunday, three of us left the Island and ride till Sale and Moteled it for the night!

    Monday, the route taken was:

    Sale - Bengworden - Bairnsdale - Bruthen - Nowa Nowa - Orbost - Bonang - Delegate - Bombala - Nimmitable - Kybeyan - Touross - Badja - Karwarree - Wyanbene Caves.

    At Delegate

And we camped at Wyanbene caves for the night

Can you spot the Tiger in the woods?!

Next Morning, deciced to try the caves and you can see it was a bit of a climb up the hill

At the entrance to the cave.

Well one look down the entrance and the small notice which said something about "not disturbing the bats!!" was the decider. I am not THAT ADVenterous!!:shog

So we walked back to our waiting bikes and we were off

From there, the route for me was

    Wyanbene Caves - Oranmeir - Braidwood - Boro - Goulburn - Marulan - Tallong - Bundanoon - Moss Vale - Robertson - Macquarie Pass - Albion Park - Wollongong - Sydney

It was a great week and wonderful ride. Beautiful roads, amazing people and beats sydney city and work hands down....

Looking forward to the next one...

I will add other photos once I get it from my mytes...

    Cheers for now....

Good stuff mate. Next year will you take the Tiger out on the track and wave the Brit flag. Give the BM's a run for their money.. At least you could cross the infield with those tyres. :rayof

Thanks for the RR. Motivates me to get down for next year. Used to be one of the medico's down there myself. SBK was always a better w/e than the GP - less snobiness, less wankers, more laid back, more and better racing.

Some great photos in there myte.

Is the hill to the caves as bad as the one to the Thermal Pools at Yarrongabilly Caves?
