(88-64) Another one run loss. Four runs in the fourth inning was not enough to keep Oakland at bay. Road trip starts with the Twins tonight and then four with the Jays. Pettitte on the hill. Ten games to go.

    You know what's gonna happen...

    ..last series of the season.

You know it. The redsux are gonna sweep us effectively taking us out of the post season.

Cause last year's karma is a bitch.

    I can feel it coming.

(89-64) Four long balls and 6 scoreless frames by Pettitte results in a win. Now a game and a half up on Baltimore.

Letting Nix hit after pinch hitting for Ibanez? Ugh. At least the O's lost.

i really hate girardi again (and he was having such a decent year). keeps c.c. in for 8 innings and 118 pitches, when the yankees are up 8-2, after he's been on the dl 2x this year (2x in his previous 11 years, hadn't been on it for 6 years prior to this), and when the big guy's not been looking real sharp.

(90-65) A one run loss and a win last night still puts us one and half games ahead with 7 games to go. Four in Toronto and they finish at home with Boston.

its been really exciting. It seems the O's can't lose.

I made it to two games this year, both in Camden Yards (I previously had never been). That is a beautiful ballpark.

Thankfully one of my games was w/ Yankees & they won:clap:clap, much to the chagrin of the O's fans, who some cursed us very badly, I told em to go get me a beer:rofl

    Go Yanks

(90-66) Shutout courtesy of the Jays gives the Yanks a one run lead over the Orioles. Nova coughed up four runs and couldn't go 5 complete frames.

(92-67) The Yanks are in the post-season after the Angels lost to Texas, but their role is undefined. Still tied with Baltimore and three games to go at home with the Red Sox. One hell of a comeback yesterday, but they are going to need a lot more of that grit and determination to win the AL East and the pennant.

Red Sox (Buchholz, 11-7) at Yankees (Sabathia, 14-6), 7:05 p.m.

    Orioles (Chen, 12-10) at Rays (Cobb, 10-9), 7:10 p.m.

Could be a fight to the finish.

...and girardi continues to look like he really wants cc's arm to fall off, leaving him in for 8 innings in a blowout, after a loooong second inning, and not ruling out pitching him on short rest Friday if it comes to it. Grrrrr.

(93-67) Two games to go in the season. Lester vs. Phelps could be an interesting match up tonight.

Girardi continues to confound me, pulling Phelps after 86 pitches when he's cruuuising. The o's also squeak one out against a brilliant game by shields (9ip, 15 so, 0bb, 2 hits, 1 run), but we're down to 1.

Sorry Billy Martin, you were entertaining, but you were a huge jerk, so the honor goes to Murcer....

(94-67) Just finding ways to win! It took twelve innings, but they are still one game ahead. On the down side, Texeira went 0 for 6 with nine runners LOB. Kuroda Vs. Matsuzaka for the final game of the season.
