Brad Baker invited to revived Superprestigio event in Spain to race against Marc Marquez and other road race stars. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/811/17615/Motorcycle-Article/Backmarker--Baker-Gets-Superprestigio-Shot.aspx
Sac Mile was the best it has been in a good while,I can only hope The rain leaves Santa Rosa alone, even with the rain it was spectacular!
I'm diggin' that! I wonder how we can watch it in the USA? You know Honda wanted Nicky cuz there's a real strong chance an American is going to stand on top of that podium.
Brad Baker could repeat the AMA Grand National Championship again this year. If Sam Halbert stays healthy he will be in the fight. Don't count out Jared Mees or Brandon Robinson as well . Brad could and should kick everyones ass in Spain in a few weeks if his KTM SMR works as well as it should .
And I'm cheering for my Triumph guys Johnny and Mikey to push for podium finishes. George Latus is a really competitive guy, I think they'll be moving forward in the pack.

And let us not forget that Bryan Smith is a free agent again after Howerton-Crosley has called it quits with that fast Kawasaki. Hopefully they can build more chassis like that and it has no patent on it. Is he back to HD? Something new? It is too bad someone is not trying the MT-07 Yamaha engine in a tracker. Seems like it would be a good mill also... Isn't it available in Canada and Australia? I think it has more promise than the big KTM. Kirkness.....you listening?
I heard that Bryan was working on buying one of the Kawasaki's he raced last year. Johnny Lewis will help Dave Waters take the KTM to the next level . ( Notice the Mitas H-18 Flattrack Tires on the bike ) Mitas will come on board for tire sponsorship in 2014 at Non Nationals Events.
Brad Baker, Marc Maquez, Kenny Noyes and othes practicing before the Superprestigio event on Saturday. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rcsyZssBSfk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> More video on the MotoGP.com website. http://www.motogp.com/en/videos/2014/Marquez+Baker+get+ready+for+Superprestigio+DTX+event
Based on how much time he spent on the rev limiter, I think Brad Baker needs a gearing change. Touching the rev limiter, good. Spending 5 secs a lap bouncing off the limiter, not so good.
Live Streaming tomorrow (Saturday) of the Superprestigio on CycleWorld.com http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/01/10/watch-superprestigio-dirt-track-live-on-cycle-world/
Awesome!! So their running 17s and rains instead of 19s? I'm not sure that will be enough to give Marc a chance? And it looks like Brad's front tire is on backwards?
Thanks for sharing the video clip and the info on how to watch Saturday! I'm thinking Baker might have something for them
Chris Carr and Brad Baker will be joining me on my radio show this coming Wednesday nite if anyone is interested in hearing Brad's report from Spain. Not spamming...just inviting. You can access the show by going to nextmotochampion.com, click on "Talk Show" and scroll down to find Talking Motorcycles with Brad Baker. He might be a little jet lagged as he gets in way late Tuesday evening but I'm certain he will be pumped to discuss his experience. He and Carr will also be discussing the new rule for 2014 that removes the restrictors from the Expert Twins for 2014. Should be interesting. Barry
Marc looks like he has a good feel for flat track. I was aware he has ridden ft for a while but he is pretty solid on the bike. Baker had quick time yesterday. This is really good stuff.
